We wanted to congratulate Tourist on its new location in Santa Fe. If you’re in town, make sure you roll through!

The Platypus, Rivendell’s flagship step-thru allrounder, is going up for sale tomorrow at noon. If you’re thinking about picking one up, Riv encourages everybody to dig deep and get a complete build because after crunching the numbers, there really aren’t many frames coming, especially in the 55cm size. In fact, Rivendell is only putting up 24 framesets, but on the flip side, there are lots of completes.
Today’s pre-order is in anticipation of Rivendell getting them sometime in the last ten days of November, and they’ll ship them out pronto!
As a nice nod to the future of the platypus, Rivendell added $25 dollars to the price of the completes and all of that will go to the Australian Platypus Conservancy.
James made a quick video showing the frames if you’re curious!
Rivendell only has two pictures of the pre-assembled completes coming from Taiwan. Above you can see the Ana Purple and Sergio Green colors.

While carbon road bikes might seem out of place here. We dig it when companies think outside the box. The Lauf Cycling Úthald caught our eye when it was announced yesterday thanks to its wild silhouette–that seat tube angle looks divine!–its generous tire clearance, up to 35mm, short chainstays, and frame compliance. While the frames are wireless shifting-only, they are 2x drivetrain compatible.
The Úthald has some panache. Check out more at Lauf.

Fox Racing Crossframe Pro $219.95
Fox Racing, typically into trail and enduro MTB racing and riding just announced an XC/Gravel helmet dubbed the Crossframe Pro. These sleek helmets lack a sun visor but provide all the protection you need for dirt-centric activities.
Inside the Crossframe Pro, you’ll find an MIPS liner with a BOA fit system as well as dual-density Varizorb EPS foam for improved impact protection and a secure fit. The helmet also features a removable and washable Ionic+ liner, and a Fidlock SNAP helmet buckle. The medium-sized helmet weighs just 346 grams.
Complimenting the Crossframe Pro helmet, Fox released the Flexair Ascent riding gear earlier this year. This is Fox’s most lightweight and form-fitting collection built to perform in competitive or long endurance days in the saddle. Made with ultralight, moisture-wicking materials, Flexair Ascent performs well without losing a key component of the beauty of riding dirt–style.
Both the Crossframe Pro helmet and Flexair Ascent collection are currently available online and at finer retailers across the globe.
