Turner Bikes Introduces the Cyclosys Disc ‘Cross Bike

With an ever-increasing popularity of the sport, many mountain bike companies have ventured into cyclocross bikes in the past few years. For David Turner, owner and founder of Turner Bikes, his personal race rig prototype has finally hit the public market. David has spent the past five years designing the ideal ‘cross bike. One that can take on everything from hour-long races to day-long “all-road” rides. The Cyclosys is the brand’s first non-suspension bike, ever.

As an introductory offer, Turner is selling the Cyclosys with a custom Powder-coat color finish as a free upgrade option to the First 50 Pre-Orders and a free upgrade to Stans Carbon Valor wheels to the first 25 pre-orders. Have yours in time for ‘cross season, in the color you want, with race-ready wheels…

To briefly summarize the geometry of the Cyclosys, here are some dimensions: PF30 68mm bb shell, 425mm stays, with a head tube angle from a 70º in the XS to a 72.0° in the XXL and a seat tube angle from 75º to 72.5° across the sizes with a 70mm to 65mm bb drop also distributed across the available sizes. It also features thru-axles front and rear with a 44mm head tube and internal routing. Clearances? It’ll fit a 43mm tire. The Cyclosys is currently only available with 1×11 SRAM Force, 2×11 SRAM Force, or Shimano Ultegra 2×11 drivetrains but is available as a frameset.

Let’s finish this first look at the Cyclosys with a quote from David Turner on cyclocross racing:

“In the 30 plus years I’ve been in mountain biking, I’ve seen the sport and the racing scene evolve and change over the years. Some for better, some for worse. What I experienced at my first CX race in 2010 reminded me of the “good ol’ days” of MTB racing: a great sense of community and camaraderie, and a good dose of competitiveness.”
