Ben Frederick and The Small Monsters Project Custom Mosaic MT-1 – John Watson & Ben Frederick | The Radavist | A group of individuals who share a love of cycling and the outdoors.

Today, we’re sharing the news that Ben Frederick from The Small Monsters Project has partnered with Mosaic Cycles and has a custom-painted MT-1 that matches the new Ornot x Small Monsters Project Trail Shirt. We sat on this one for a little bit to let the Sea Otter buzz die down so let’s check out John’s photos and a press release straight from The Small Monsters Project below!

The Small Monsters Project is back for its fourth year. Cyclocross and off-road privateer Ben Frederick is continuing his mental health awareness campaign by dedicating his upcoming season to raising funds for The Small Monsters Project Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health challenges and to provide education and resources around concussion. Since its inception in 2021, he has raised over $60,000 to support those in need.

Ben is elated to bring on a new partner for The Small Monsters Project, Mosaic Cycles. They kicked off the partnership with an MT-1, with a custom paint job layout design by Randy from Mosaic, that matches an Ornot x Small Monsters Project Trail Shirt.

“As sappy as it sounds, when I first met with Aaron (Mosaic founder) and Mark (marketing guru), there was an instant connection. I’ve been riding metal bikes for the past 9 years, and entering my Ti era with an American-made, passion-driven bike brand is so exciting. They completely match my vibe and support my altruism as much as my racing. I’m so pumped to start this journey.” – Ben

Ben will add to the Mosaic story through his efforts in 2024; Outfitted with a fleet of Mosaic bikes, Ben will be at key races, fundraising and awareness events through the summer. This fall Ben will bring Mosaic into the elite CX ranks at the USCX Series, Pan Am Championships and then off to Europe for the Christmas Cross Period.

Ben will be racing SRAM AXS outfitted Mosaic MT-1, GT-1 45, and XT-1s frames this year. Also joining the program is Chris King for headsets and Bottom Brackets. The OG sponsor, Ritchey is providing all the finishing kit for the bikes. His head will be protected by Smith Helmets.
