So this is slightly off topic but I came across this phototorial on The Atlantic and just had to share it. I’m a child of the early 80’s so I don’t remember America during this era. The 60’s were pre-EPA and as these photos from 1971 show, the neglect towards the environment in our cities was rampant. Not only are these photos very moving, they’re all timelessly represented in high-res format. Check them out here!
