Beautiful Bicycle: Ty’s Zona Nature Boy
So. I was wrong yesterday. It turns out, Ty was actually on his All-City Zona Nature Boy when he was getting his #crossiefreestyle on in that Vernor photo. In fact, Ty raced just about every weekend on this bike and found plenty of time to get rad.

All-City: Fuzzy Bars in Stock
When Jeff from All-City sent me an email earlier today announcing the “Fuzzy Bars” being in stock, I thought for sure he meant that Bryan was getting his own signature townie bars (see below).
Turns out, the Fuzzy Bars are a new 3″ rise, 22.2 clamp, 10.5° sweep steel riser for your fixed freestyle ride. I guess that means Fuzzy is getting some new bars for his fixed freestyle whip! Pick these up at Bicycle Revolutions and other fine LBS across the country!

Winter Ride Videos from Across the Globe
Without going into too much detail about the nature of distance riding on a track bike, I’ll just post up this video from Paris. Check out more details on the distances at the Vimeo page.
The second video is from Basicity Films in Poland. Just some easy cruising around Wroclaw. Remember the January ride video?

An Update to the All-City Nature Boy
After I wrote my original review of the Nature Boy, I got a lot of emails asking why I had chosen to set a singlespeed cross bike up as a townie. Initially I felt like I had good reason then after putting on a Nitto Campee rack, my once-light cross bike was rather heavy and bulky. Then I bent a fender and I felt like it was time to ride this thing how it was intended to be ridden.

New Project: All-City Nature Boy
So stoked on this project. When I first saw All-City’s Nature Boy I knew I had to get one. After some arm-wrestlin, horse betting and prostitution, I managed to get one from Jeff. Gotta finish up trimming the cables, wrapping the bars, installing fenders and swapping out a few stock components but right now, I’m stoked to finally be riding one of these awesome bikes. Expect a full review once I get my lens fixed.

All-City Cycles: Nature Boy Build
When I first saw photos of All-City’s new Nature Boy fixed / ss cross bike my jaw dropped. Was Jeff really capable of making such a beautiful bike? Of course he is. Now, a few months later and the first build pops up online. I really really really want one of these. If only it had rack mounts! It’d be a perfect winter bike (I’m still gonna try to steal one while I’m in Minneapolis for the All-City Champs).

藝術 (Art), 手工藝 (Craftsmanship), 製造 (Manufacture): Taichung Taiwan is a Bicycling Manufacturing Mecca
Coming off our Dust-Up article on (Most) All Bikes are Handmade is a deeper dive… It is easy to take for granted how products from around the globe end up in our hands. When it comes to bicycles, many of us have no idea how they are made. Our Instagram feeds are filled with romanticized images of artisans building intricate frames one at a time, but what about the production bicycles that the vast majority ride? Much less information is available, leaving our imaginations to conjure up images of robotic welders and dirty, fast-paced production. This often leads to uninformed debates on where, who, and how products are made.
The authors of this article offer a unique perspective on bicycle manufacturing. Daniel Yang, a talented engineer working with Neuhaus Metalworks and his own brand ARTEFACT, is changing how artisan framebuilders build bikes through 3D printing and 3D modeling innovations. Adam Sklar has over a decade of experience building high-end custom bikes by hand. He recently brought his production to Taiwan, working together with factories to produce his signature designs. The factories and people you see in this article produce Sklar Bikes, which is why we were given the opportunity to share this experience with you all.
