Paul Component Engineering Klampers Have Landed!

I remember a comment here on the Radavist. It went something like “If GOD wanted disc brakes on drop bar bicycles, then PAUL would make them…”

Well, the Klampers are here and they’re ready for public consumption. In short pull (for SRAM, Shimano, etc road levers) or long pull (for top pull brake levers), in black or silver. I don’t even know why I’m typing anything because they’re probably already gone! Made in the USA in Chico, California and tested by the guy whose name is on each caliper.

Paul Component Engineering: Bottle Opener

It used to be you could only get these from Paul at NAHBS or Interbike. They would produce limited editions with engravings from the event on the bottle openers. Now, just in time for the holiday season, Paul has listed these nifty little openers on their site. They even anodized them in holiday colors. Pick one up here.

Thanks for sharing JD!

Interbike 2011: Paul Component Engineering Road Hub

I love seeing made in the USA road hubs, especially from companies like Paul. Profile, Phil, White Industries and Paul are all component companies that have been around for decades and now they all offer a cassette hub for cross or road bikes. These babies are slick and each click of the cassette offers up audio bike porn. Expect them by the new year!

Readers’ Rides: Liz’s Ron’s Crust Bikes Alumalith Decked Out With Paul Components!

Today we’ve got a special Readers’ Rides. While John was in Chico eating all of Travis’ vegan snacks at Paul Component Engineering, he documented Liz’s Alumalith, which Paul had just finished building. Liz is Paul’s partner, and she had her eye on a Ron’s Crust Bikes Alumalith. So Paul built her one, and it’s wild. Read on for some words by Paul himself about the bike…

2024 MADE Bike Show Pre-Feature: Paul’s Meriwether x Oddity Touring Fat Bike

John and Cari are en route to the 2024 MADE Bike Show and stopped along the way to see the Paul Component Engineering fam in Chico, California. While there, we checked out Paul’s Meriwether Cycles touring fat bike. This collaboration bike with Oddity Cycles is a three-year project, but if you’re like us, you’ll agree it was well worth the wait. Let’s check it out!

Paul Component Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters

Paul Component Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters

Our buddies at Paul Component Engineering based the original Groovy Barrel Adjusters from Magura’s 1970s adjusters, but scaled them down by 50%. The original Magura adjusters were massive, so you could adjust your moto cables through thick gloves. Now, they’ve gone even smaller with these cute Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters ($20 – $60). You can use these on everything from brake levers, calipers, derailleurs, or hangers.

Paul precision-machines these in HOT ass (it’s supposed to hit 110º today) Chico California from 6061 American milled aluminum or natural brass, anodize them every color of the rainbow, and they’re available in Paul’s Webshop or from your favorite bike shop… right now.

We’re here at the 2023 MADE Show and will be rolling out unique, custom bikes over the next week. Before we jump into the show bikes, we wanted to showcase Patrick‘s mullet bike. Patrick is a machinist at PAUL Component Engineering and he brought his SE Lager out to Portland to pedal around the Rose City while the show is going on. John caught Patrick, fresh out of bed this morning, pre-coffee and all to document this illustrious machine of beausage and beautiful PAUL Parts, so let’s check it out below.
