Chumba Cycles SOCO SL Titanium All Road

Chumba Cycles SOCO SL Titanium All Road

As seen in our Philly Bike Expo Reportage today, Chumba Cycles just announced an all-new SOCO SL titanium all-road

Welded in-house at Chumba’s Austin, Texas, facilities, the SOCO SL Titanium is the brand’s spirited titanium all-road bike. Designed for pavement riding with 700 x 30 mm tires or fast gravel courses with a 40 mm tire, the SOCO’s geometry is designed for all roads, dirt or paved. Think of it as a modern-day audax geometry, designed for the long haul.

Seven frame sizes 50-62cm feature specific tubing diameters and thicknesses. The objective is to create a balance of power and suppleness proportional to the rider. Compared to the SOCO Steel we are edging towards a more responsive ride with the titanium frame.  Compared to the Terlingua gravel bike, the SOCO has more road focused angles, and a shorter wheelbase.

Wide range of customization options:

  • Base frame comes with external routing and a sliding dropout for an adjustable wheelbase and broadest tire compatibility
  • Options to add internal routing
  • Options to add the ENVE IN-Route fork and cockpit
  • Options to add Paragon Machine Works’ brand new UDH Integrated FM Dropout (featured on this show bike)
  • Options to add custom mounts, racks, fenders
  • Custom geometry options and much more

This SOCO features a painted cerakote frame and fork along with custom anodizing and exposed brushed titanium. Options for brushed frame finish with anodizing, bead blast and more. For a limited time Chumba is offering free anodizing on the graphics with all our titanium orders, (Downtube Chumba, model name, and headbadge)

Built of domestically sourced aerospace grade 3/2.5 titanium tubing, custom seat stays, and double-butted oval chainstays. Head tube, dropouts, and threaded T47 bottom bracket are made in USA from PMW. The SOCO can be configured with road or gravel electronic or mechanical drivetrains, 1x and 2x, or set up as a singlespeed. Framesets and builds are matched to either the ENVE AR fork or an internally routed ENVE In-Route Kit for an extra clean aesthetic.

This review bike also features the brand new SOLIX SL – AR40C wheelset from Industry Nine.
