Like clockwork, each time I post a photo like the one above, I get the same question: “How do you stand up your bikes to photograph them?”. Well, it’s simple enough. Check out the answer below.
I usually just find a sturdy stick, preferably one that’s shaped like a “Y” so you get a good amount of contact. Then I’ll stick it either under the rear track bolt or into the bottom bracket spindle. From there it’s just making sure the cranks, bars and everything is aligned. I’ll shoot it and then clone stamp it out.
Pretty simple. Eventually, I’d like to just carry a small stand around with me.
