Blue Lug: Rew10 Works Singlespeed Cross Bike Nov 17, 2014

I’ve been digging what Blue Lug has been doing with their Rew10 Works framesets and Cook paintworks, but this singlespeed cross bike is my favorite thus far. Subtle splatter paint over the tan base color and a classy steel fork really do it for me. The disc front and canti rear is clever as well.

  • Why a canti on the rear?

I’m guessing ease of build. Fair bit more involved to deal with a horizontal dropout and keeping discs aligned.

After a few PNW muddy races, I wish my disc bike had a canti rear! the rear pads wear WAAAY too fast in the mud, and mechanical brake cables just get mucked up too quickly, especially inside the rear-triangle. I’ve tried canti, mini-v and disc now; the best solution– having a full time pit crew pressure washing every lap.

Same color scheme as the ty hufnagel. Which isn’t a bad thing at all.
