Précisions with Josh Bedford

There aren’t many BMX videos featured here on the site, but then again, there aren’t a lot of BMX videos shot as beautifully as this one.

“Précisions is an ongoing short film series presented via Defgrip. This series features creativity, expression and most importantly précisions within BMX. Second to feature is Josh Bedford with an eye for spots and a less is more attitude. Josh’s riding speaks for itself, incorporating speed and power combined with his natural creative outlook. All of which is done with a classic captivating Yorkshire personality. Whilst filming Josh sustained a severe injury, cutting the release short. In his own words “if you roll the dice..”.

Please wish Josh a rapid recovery and enjoy what we got down beforehand.”

Very nice, Defgrip.

Defgrip: the History of the Dig Logo

I may not be a BMX lifer but the Dig BMX Logo has always been visually engaging to me. Growing up in the metal, punk and hardcore scenes, I always found it relevant. Four fists and a chainring (sorry, sprocket), how simple. But what’s the meaning behind it?

Head over to Defgrip to see what Dig’s editor-in-chief, Will Smyth has to say…

Defgrip: By the Numbers

“We’ve written down 100 random questions and assorted topics, all of which are unbeknownst to our victims. We will be asking people to pick 20 random numbers from 1-100 and then supplying them with those questions/topics to answer. Who knows what might come up!?!?!

For the 2nd installment of “By The Numbers”, we’ve called on John Watson/Prolly who runs the website Prolly is Not Probably. Read on.”

Oh no. ANOTHER interview? This one’s quite clever (who did I pick to be on my side in a fight?) and I love me some Defgrip. I’m honored to have made it through the intense lottery process and blood screening.

See my By the Numbers here!

Defgrip: Japan – A Travelogue

This video is too good. What else would you expect from Defgrip:

“I recently had the opportunity to travel to Japan with Brian Yeagle, KC Badger, Joseph Frans, Broc Raiford, Chad Kerley, Alex Magallan, and Greg Illingworth. They went over there to do demos, but afterwards Brian, KC, Joseph, and I rented a car and took off on our own with the goal of seeing as much of Japan as we possibly could. It was much more of a recreational trip than a riding trip, and we had one hell of a good time. I put together this little video with bits of footage I shot while shooting for a Ride UK article and some footage Joseph shot with his GoPro. Nothing beats exploring interesting and unfamiliar places with your friends.

The northwest offers up some superb riding, best tackled via touring or credit card touring. The long, arduous days clear the mind and purge all weight that found itself on your shoulders. Sandy Carson, Taj Mihelich and Seth Holton have an excellent Photogallery up on Defgrip from their recent tour. You’ve gotta check it out! As a side note: Taj did this on his Weekender, a great 1×10 “light tourer”.

Defgrip: Bohie Palecek Wallpaper

Defgrip mentioned something last month about seeking artists to do wallpaper for their site, prompting Australia’s  Bohie Palecek to hop on it. This is sick. So much alchemist symbolism in this one. Also, the Aussies love their “hoop snakes”, which we call Ouroboros. Pick up higher-res versions here, for FREE at Defgrip.
