Otso Arctodus Ti Fatbike $4,695 complete/$3,795 frameset

Otso’s Arctodus fat bike is now available in titanium. The brand designed Arctodus’ chassis around a 26” x 4.8” tire for optimal handling and control on loose trails in snow, sand, or scree. You’ll have a hard time finding a 26” or 27.5” fat bike tire that doesn’t fit in the Arctodus Ti frame. That’s because this bike fits the biggest fat bike tires on the market: 26” x 5.05” and 27.5” x 4.5”.

In fact, Arctodus Ti is the only fat bike with this narrow of a bottom bracket to clear tires this big with a 12-speed drivetrain. We achieve this by using a 5mm offset on the rear wheel. A big bear needs big paws, after all.

The Arctodus Ti is available now. The base build starts at $4,695 with Shimano SLX and aluminum components, while the frameset starts at $3,795. All components and accessories are customizable via the Custom Bike Builder, including drivetrain, tires, anodized accent colors, grips, and more. Find Arctodus Ti now on OtsoCycles.com and with all bike shops that stock Otso Cycles.

Ballern Cycle Works Sexy Rack £80

Seen in Petor’s Brother Cycles Mr. Wooden review, the Ballern Cycle Works Sexy Rack is a clever bag support that acts as a lightweight rack, stabalizing your favorite (compatible) handlebar bag. The Sexy Rack is made from 10mm 304 stainless steel by a rad dude, out of the Stayer Cycles Workshop.

With a drop of 15cm or 17cm and a possible stem length of 50-120mm, it is ideal for most handlebar bags. Thanks to its S shape, the Sexy Rack fits perfectly to most handlebar bags and harnesses, and its cross brace prevents the bag from chafing on the front tyre and holds fast, even off-road.

The only requirement for mounting under the stem is at least 15mm of spacers which, in turn, will be replaced by the BCW rack. For assembly simply remove some spacers under the stem and replace it with the Sexy Rack!

Fitment info:

  • 15cm drop for a Wizard Works Shazam mini.
  • 17cm drop for a Wizard Works standard Shazam and Velo Orange Biggish Bag.
  • Will also work with plenty of other front bags on the market by either looping under a strap or attaching with the use of Voile strap.
  • Check out this blog entry for more bags fitment specs.
  • 15cm or 17cm drop, lower brace bar is 22cm long.
  • 1 1/8th only.
  • 2KG limit.
  • Made In England – By a lovey German dude.

Stuff we see on the ‘net that causes pause…

John got out on the new Esker Hayduke LVS over the weekend and while on a ride with Parker from Esker, caught a nice and crispy flick of a nose bonk. Look at how the top tube and seat stay are just tilted over the horizon!
