California brands Mission Workshop and Afterschool Projects announced a new collection of apparel and packs today that meld Mission Workshop’s knowledge in technical materials with the playfulness of Afterschool Projects. The collaboration all started with a question and an experiment: is it possible to tie-dye tech fabrics?
Through persistence and experimentation, the MW and ASP teams discovered a unique process to tie-dye the iconic X-Pac® fabric from Dimension Polyant. The result is three unique camouflage-inspired dyes – Inyo, Mojave, and Hippie – with a touch of psychedelic joy to the functional aesthetic. The X-Pac® fabric was meticulously tie-dyed by hand, giving each bag a signature that makes the MW x ASP collection truly unique. Made in the USA and shipping today…

Sam makes custom framebags, both full and half, as well as a plethora of other accessory bags. I’ve got two bikes that have been begging for framebags, so when Sam announced he was going to start offering them, I sent him some money, a few photos, and waited for a few weeks. Well, I’ve been using these bags for a while now and would like to share the process and product with you so check out more below…

The brand recently overhauled their US-made Atlas all road bike to include both titanium and a carbon model (pictured). The Atlas is Alchemy’s modular road model meaning Alchemy can swap out chainstays and a fork to design and fabricate either a classic Atlas road (28mm clearance) or a larger, all-road model (38mm clearance) and that’s just the beginning. For more information, hop on over to Alchemy to see all the details.
