We’re here en route to the 2022 Sea Otter Classic after what feels like eons, and on our way to the event, we have been hanging out in Santa Cruz, California, at Caletti Cycles and the Chris King Guest House. This unique showcase features several framebuilders’ creations, all donning the new Chris King Wheelsets in road, gravel, and MTB. There’s a great mix of bikes from steel full suspensions, road bikes, a few tasty 29ers and a few surprises, so let’s check out the offerings below and a hefty gallery of the bikes and the hangs from the event…

Developing a Craft: A 35mm Look into Chumba Cycles Production
It has been a little over a year since we relocated Chumba Bikes to our new, bigger, and brighter shop space in South Austin. We have yet to host an open house here due to COVID and trying to keep our staff as safe as possible. I approached Vince about doing a 35mm photography project to share our new shop space along with the hands that have moved Chumba forward. To showcase our new shop I shot a month’s worth of photos and compiled this gallery. I’m excited to give you a peep into our world at Chumba!

A Detailed Look at the New Outer Shell Camera Straps
Photographers can be a stubborn bunch when it comes to their affinities for particular camera brands, formats, processing methods, etc. For me, camera straps are no different; once I find one I like, I stick with it. Admittedly, I have a lot of cameras and, for the most part, favorite straps for each.
I recently swapped out the straps on my most heavily-used analog cameras for two new rope straps from San Fransisco-based Outer Shell. I also started using their stabilizing wide strap for my primary digital camera setup, which I often cross-body carry while riding. Continue reading below for my thoughts on how these straps stack up in comparison to what I was previously using.

Yoshimura Cycling: All-New and Unique ENDH Stem
Today Yoshimura officially launched its ENDH stem, utilizing a unique design that can be used as a single crown traditional stem or as a direct mount DH stem. With stack heights getting higher and higher, Yoshimura decided to engineer a stem that provides a 35mm rise and takes up less steer tube overall. When changing stem lengths, you no longer need to remove the entire stem; just change to the longer or shorter mount set. That means no more forks falling out, and no need to realign the handlebars which can be a pesky task with short stems.
Have a DH bike? The ENDH converts to a direct mount stem. As a DH stem, length options are 45, 50, and 55mm while providing an 18mm rise. You can pre-order the ENDH stem for $199 at Yoshimura today for a Feb2022 delivery.
Specs:
Low stack height 23.5mm
Rise 35mm / single crown stem
ENDH system doesn’t require headset readjustment or handlebar realignment
Single Crown reach 37mm / 42mm / 47mm
Clamp Mounts are also sold separately
63mm handlebar clamp width provides better stability
All three mount sizes work with DH direct mount top clamps
Direct mount reach 45mm / 50mm / 55mm
Direct mount rise 18mm
173 Grams / 37mm, 191 grams / 42mm, 204 grams / 47mm
Available in Hard-anodize Pewter / Black and YoshiKote / Black
Accommodates only 35mm handlebars
6061-T6 Aluminum
Stainless Steel A4-70 tapered hardware
USA made in Chino, CA

We Fixed Our Webshop
As you might have noticed when we dropped our Winter product last week that the UX for the webshop was not so hot. We rushed it to get the collection live and shipping as soon as possible since it had already been delayed for so long. Well, we have now had some time to massage the design a bit more. Now when you click on the Shop link, it’ll take you straight to The Radavist’s shop at The Pro’s Closet. We should have done that from the beginning but well… you know how it goes.
We’re also working on a Bikes and Gear sub-shop that contains my personal picks from TPC’s incoming queue. Josh and I will be updating this regularly with steel/ti bikes we think the readers would be interested in, along with other components, accessories, and bike frames. Since TPC gets in hundreds of bikes a day, this will make it a bit easier for all of you to see some fun and funky bikes that we catch as they hit the inventory.
Once again, thanks for your patience and if you have any feedback, drop it in the comments and I’ll take it to the team!
