David Figueroa’s Custom Condor Cycles Stainless Super Acciaio Road
I’ve owned and sold a lot of very nice bikes, but my custom Condor Cycles Super Acciaio was my all-time favorite. My ride or die. Literally, and it did. It died when a car did an illegal left turn in front of me. The top tube and down tube folded like a paper solo cup.

A First Look at the Condor x PEdAL ED Bivio Odyssey All Road Frameset
Photos by @saltlake_lian
At the UK handbuilt bicycle show in Bristol, this weekend Condor Cycles showed off their new, made in Italy Bivio Odyssey frameset. It is a collab with the Italian clothing brand, PEdALED.
Condor teamed up with PEdALED in 2017 and 2018 with their pro cycling team but at the 11th hour, just before the start of the 2018 Tour of Britain, their key sponsor JLT, gave Condor some bad news they wouldn’t be continuing as they had been taken over unexpectedly, leaving them with a bit of a void. Condor really enjoyed teaming up with PEdAL ED as they are a very relaxed and easy to work with brand, so they decided to make an aluminum frame inspired by the Silk Road Mountain Race they sponsor and newly-launched Odyssey clothing range.

David’s White Lightning Condor Super Acciaio Road
When David realized it was time for a new road bike, he talked to his friend and Austin-resident Kristian House about Condor Cycles, House’s title sponsor from the Rapha Condor JLT team. David looked into these made in Italy, painted in the UK frames and soon after, a brand new Condor Acciaid Road showed up on his birthday – thanks to his wife.
He’s been riding it nonstop and when the Reynolds rep brought some fancy new wheels for David to try out, how could he resist? And how could I resist jumping at the opportunity to photograph this bike?

Condor Cycles: Ed Clancy and Andy Tennant Custom Track Bikes
Claire from Condor Cycles sent in these two custom track bikes for their team riders:
“Ed Clancy and Andy Tennant (our team riders) must ride their super tech uber carbon track pursuit bikes developed by British Cycling. But in the winter and for some fun events they didn’t have a suitable ‘normal’ track bike to ride. So we decided to do something uber custom.
We’re also really delighted with hard work as part of the Rapha Condor Sharp team and we thought we’d also give them something to celebrate their gold medals at the European Track Champs.
Net result are the pictures that are attached. Ed wanted the Scream because he likes the colours and Andy wanted an American bomber.
Each design was work on with Ed and Andy and then we hand painted onto the carbon.”

Condor World Series
This just in from Condor:
Initially previewed at Monty Young’s 80th birthday party, the limited edition World Series range was created as a present from Condor Cycles for their founder of the central London bike emporium.
In 1948 Monty Young was conscious that he was doing more than running a shop; he was building a specialist business in a crowded market. From the mid-fifties Monty was out most weekends with the Condor service van, helping at road races around the UK. Many of the riders at these races became his customers and it was from this pool of rider that the Condor racing team would be formed in 1959.
Numerous world champions have been supported by Condor Cycles for over half a century. Olympic medals have been won and national bands have been earned. In celebration of Monty’s 80th birthday, Condor Cycles has created a limited edition range of bicycles called the World Series.
World Series frames are built from modern triple butted steel, but Condor have employed the same artisan techniques that were employed when Monty started building frames at Condor. The traditional round steel tubes and cast lugs have featured on Condor bicycles ever since the doors opened in 1948.
Of the strictly limited 150 framesets produced there are five versions, each featuring a colour of the World Championship rainbow band. The World Series range includes matching World Series Concor saddle by San Marco, with Condor alloy seatpin and colour-matched leather bar tape. The framesets are available with track or road dropout, in 49, 52, 55, 58, and 61cm.
Frameset kit – £550
Includes:
Fork
1 inch headset
Limited Edition World Series Concor saddle by San Marco (black or white)
Condor Alloy seatpost
Colour-matched leather bar tape

Rapha Condor Sharp Photos
Sometimes I get really amped to go on a ride and for whatever reason, I can’t make it. Last Thursday my allergies were really kicking my ass and I was stuck in bed for the entire day. While I was sleeping it off, a good number of cyclists met up with the Rapha team for the Rapha Condor Sharp ride in Central Park. Check out the photos on the Rapha blog from the event. That’s a lotta people!
Also be sure to check out the coverage from Battenkill. Looks like a killer race!

Condor Cycles CNC’d Track Cogs
Since 1948, Condor Cycles ( @CondorCycles ) has been serving the greater London area with high-end bicycles both modern and old. Something the company has been working on for a while are these new CNC’d track cogs. They’re remarkably beautiful and totally an homage to the gorgeous Phil Wood cogs. Even the machining on the back is razor-sharp.
Check out a photo of the back below.
