David’s White Lightning Condor Super Acciaio Road

When David realized it was time for a new road bike, he talked to his friend and Austin-resident Kristian House about Condor Cycles, House’s title sponsor from the Rapha Condor JLT team. David looked into these made in Italy, painted in the UK frames and soon after, a brand new Condor Acciaid Road showed up on his birthday – thanks to his wife.

He’s been riding it nonstop and when the Reynolds rep brought some fancy new wheels for David to try out, how could he resist? And how could I resist jumping at the opportunity to photograph this bike?

I can’t help it, I love white & pink on a bike. It’s not muy macho but I do dig it.

  • Richard Smith

    What a wife!

  • Lookin’ pretty boss, David. Not toxic green, but quite dope.

  • Michael Leepow

Yes! I love this bike. That David guy is okay too.

  • Tyler Shannon

It’s interesting to see that Cannondale crankset on a non C-Dale. I’m assuming the entire grouppo was ported over from a Cannondale?

    • Charles Southgate

Basically the nicest BB30 crank out there right now – sub 500 grams with rings and spider and I think they are still US-made.

      • Tyler Shannon

        rad! good to know

    • David Figueroa

I didn’t take the group off of a Cannondale. Charles is right, below, that the Spidering SiSl2 crankset is pretty dang nice.

love seeing a bike that looks like it has been ridden

  • d1ecast

I’ve got one of these. It’s great. I’ve never seen another here in the UK, and I never imagined I’d see one on this site. And my name is David too. Weird. But I don’t have such jazzy wheels, that’s where it ends.
    Keep up the good work.

    • David Figueroa

      Yeah, buddy!

  • fiasco ciclismo tee!

  • JCurtis

Man, this thing rocks my world. I don’t know why. But, it’s like a gut punch in a good way. What’s the deal the badger sticker under the seast cluster?

  • Craig Northway

Great to see shots of a bike that gets ridden! Chain doesn’t look like it has just come out of the packet.
