Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always wanted to go to Australia. So much so that I once harbored various reptiles from the deserts and forests of OZ in my adolescent bedroom. When I found out I was heading to Melbourne, of course I looked forward to riding bikes but I was also excited to see some of the animals I grew up admiring.

Today Lauren and I went to a wildlife sanctuary about an hour drive from Melbourne. Various cockatoo species, wallabies, koalas and other animals awaited us on over six acres of land. The pink Cockatoos were quite the characters and one even attacked my fisheye lens!
