Another shop on my list for my Farewell NYC Shop Visits was Brooklyn Machine Works. Over the years, Joe, Ken and the guys have become some of my best friends in the cycling industry. I know that no matter what’s going on in the shop, they’ll take five and show me around. And usually there’s something rad going on. I already covered the shop months back, but a lot has changed for BMW since then.
Check out more photos below.
When I stopped in on Friday, Ken was working on a side project.
It’s a road bike with some familiar detailing.
If you’re familiar with the work of Chris Chance, these bullet-capped seat stays should look familiar.
They’re still producing Launchpads and various mountain bikes over on Powers street.
In NYC, you make use of all your space.
This is a mock-up of the BMW timeline.
The guys have a lot in store for 2011 and I wish them the best of luck! Check out a slideshow below.
These photos are also on my Flickr.
