There’s a new wave of gravel bikes that are designed around suspension forks. But what if you don’t always want the suspension fork on the bike? In the interest of weight savings, Whiskey Parts Co just announced its new No.9 MCX+ Fork ($550), designed for suspension fork gravel bikes.

The MCX+ has an axle to crown of 430 mm (for suspension forks in the 40-50 mm travel range) to allow you to swap out your suspension fork without throwing off your bike’s handling or geometry and a 47.5 mm offset provides plenty of toe clearance when using larger tires, fenders or a rack with panniers.

The MCX+ fits extra-wide tires (up to 29 x 2.3” or 27.5 x 2.4”) and features lightweight carbon construction, 12 x 100 mm thru-axle design, and flat-mount brakes. Three-Pack mounts, low-rider rack mounts, internal dynamo wire routing, and fender mounts add versatility to any bike.
