A reader sent over the work of Rebecca J Kaye, an illustrator that take everyday objects and compares them to bikes, via a play on words. These two were my favorite, head over to her site to see more.

There are very few track bike riders with the bike control of Jason Clary and somehow that is still conveyed in an ordinary photo of him making a turn at night. The Macaframa guys just get it.

After all the commotion surrounding that Boda Boda video last week, here’s one featuring a rider wearing a helmet and stopping at traffic signals. Is it as enjoyable to watch? I think so but I appreciate both videos for what they are. Definitely digging this though!

This is a very Rapha-esque approach to a track bike video by Bike Minimalism but it actually works. The basic idea behind this piece is pretty simple. When the temperatures drop, don’t hold on to the summer, keep going. Go on.

People go absolutely nutty for these Ti GT track frames and it’s easy to see why. The Buy it Now is around $2,000 USD (frameset), which isn’t a steal but that is one rad frame.

I always love Duraath‘s projects, especially the track bike videos. Last week, he and Wightset organized a 22km drag race from the heart of Johor Bahru to the center city of Kota Iskandar, Nusajaya.

2012 brought a lot of videos to the table here at PiNP. I had to scroll through 60 pages of fixed freestyle, track bike, cyclocross, BMX videos and everything in between to compile this list. Unlike previous years, these videos were chosen based on my own personal impact. I didn’t look at the number of comments, or hits, they just stood out from the rest and were, at least in my opinion, very influential. From frame builders, to FGFS and good old fashioned mashing on track bikes, these were my top picks for 2012.

Give me a street-thrashed track bike over a wiped and polished wall hanger anyday. Dan’s 2012 Red Hook Crit Brooklyn-winning Stanridge Speed track bike has seen some time on the NYC streets. Love this photo Dan, dead rat and all.

I’ve been getting over a wicked stomach bug this week. It’s not often that the blog is silent. Even putting up two posts yesterday took all my energy. While I could make multiple posts from these videos, I’ll just make it easier on you and me by putting them in one.
