Ron’s Bikes New Fabio’s Clap Trap Rando Opening Handlebar Bags

The latest from the Ron’s Bikes bicycle luggage shop is the Fabio’s Clap Trap, a bag that features a randonneuring bag-inspired opening system. What’s a rando opening system? It’s when a piece of elastic cord wraps around your stem to close the bag. Here’s a video demonstrating the system. This makes for a super easy and secure on-the-fly opening mechanism. You can do it no handed or with one hand while riding and either take out your gloves or stash a jacket. It’ll hold 3.7 liters worth of stuff.

These bags go for sale at 12 noon EST, so get your Apple Pay quick draw fingers moistened and ready for action!

Readers’ Rides: Liz’s Ron’s Crust Bikes Alumalith Decked Out With Paul Components!

Today we’ve got a special Readers’ Rides. While John was in Chico eating all of Travis’ vegan snacks at Paul Component Engineering, he documented Liz’s Alumalith, which Paul had just finished building. Liz is Paul’s partner, and she had her eye on a Ron’s Crust Bikes Alumalith. So Paul built her one, and it’s wild. Read on for some words by Paul himself about the bike…

Ron’s Bikes Aluminus Maximus Gravel Frames

Inspired by the work of Charlie Cunningham and other cult classic aluminum steeds, the Ron’s Bikes Aluminus Maximus gravel bike ($2,000 frameset) is the anti-carbon propaganda demigod we need from small-batch bicycle production. These bikes are made in the USA by Frank the Welder and have been selling like hot cakes over the past several months, so when it came time to list them on RonsBikes.com, Arya and Ronnie only had sizes 51 cm and 60 cm left. So if you have short legs or long legs, they’ve gotcha covered.

We’d like to remind everyone that Arya and Ronnie lost their factory and means of primary income last year and it’s been hard on the brand. So if you have any free money and would like to see Ron’s Bikes grow, check out their in-stock-today items and throw them some love.

Ron’s Bikes Closes CT Factory but Brand Will Continue

If you follow Ron’s Bikes on YouTube and are subscribed to their newsletter, then you have already hear but Arya and Ronnie closed their Nutmeg Needleworks factory. We won’t go into the details, that’s why we’re sharing the video, and it’s best to hear if from the bare-chested horse’s mouth anyway. Although, this paragram hit hard:

“So if you purchased any of the small or big things (frames especially) off the site in the past 2 months, we can’t thank you enough. you have kept us floating and out of debt through all of this. We are so lucky to have an established brand, and so many of you with such good taste!”

As a small, independent operation, we back this wholly. Thank you to everyone who has supported Ron’s Bikes and yeah, The Radavist over these past few months!
