Yep. We’re going to Land Run 100 this year to hang with the team at District Bicycles, document the ride, the bikes and the people of the event and of course, to just hang out. We’d like to encourage anyone who’s on the fence about coming out to do so. As for my personal bike, I’ll be posting about my setup in the next week or so, with thoughts about how to deal with mud, the weather and camera gear. Expect more shortly and if you haven’t ever heard of Land Run, check out Jarrod’s documentation on the related sidebar to the left.

This year, the SSCXWC made its way to Verona, Italy. Here’s a recap filled with equal parts race to party!

“TMTA is hosting the 2nd Annual Brewfondo Mountain Bike ride is scheduled for October 28th. There will be 4 course lengths to choose from: The Root beer (6 miles, 400 feet of climb), The Tester (12 miles, 900 ft of climb), The Pint (18 miles, 1500 ft of climb), and The Growler (27 miles, 3500 ft of climb).

All courses are a combination of gravel roads, some pavement, and beginner to intermediate level single track in the Lehigh trails area. The event is open to all ages. There will be bike and apparel vendors onsite before and after the ride. The ride will last approximately 3 hours and will be followed with post-ride BBQ and beverages at an Octoberfest festival! Stay tuned for more details. We hope to see you there!”

Paul’s Crusty ‘Cross Band is back with the third edition of Rock Lobster Cup! The Lord of the Claws has let it be known that: Oct. 22nd at Wilder ranch we will indeed have a race. Even the the parks department has confirmed that all systems are go. his will probably be the most grueling CX event on the West Coast with 288 ft. of climbing per lap. It’ll be loose, bumpy climbing that starts out steep. This could become a legendary event and might set a precedent for more CX events at Wilder ranch in coming years. Proceeds from the race go to benefit Juniors Cyclocross Development program.

The Rock Lobster Cup is capping the field at 250 riders, so get in while you can!

Well, here’s that video from this year’s Glacier 360, featuring Kym and Juliet, two total bad-asses, racing around a glacier in Iceland like it’s no big deal. Hats off to you, ladies!
