Wolf Tooth Wants You To Be Able to Adjust Your MTB’s Geometry

Wolf Tooth is always tinkering with products to make your bike more customizable to fit your needs. Their newest product is these lower headset cup extenders, allowing you to adjust the effective geo of your bike by increasing thee axle-to-crown length by 10mm. When dropping one of these in the lower head tube cup, it will allow you to do things like use a rigid fork on a suspension-corrected frame or use a fork that might have a lower ATC than the bike was designed for. Or drop one on your current bike and lower your head angle and raise your bottom bracket.

These are made in the USA, available in black, blue, or red, and in-stock now at Wolf Tooth.

In Stock Now: The Radavist Road and Mountain Horizon Jerseys

Horizon is our fall/winter jersey line, inspired by the tonality of the deserts, forests, and plains. For this drop, we worked exclusively with Endo Customs who selected a quick-drying Italian fabric with built-in SPF and the uncanny ability to maintain vibrant colors after heavy use. We’re currently holding stock of a unisex MTB jersey, as well our exclusive design in women’s and men’s road jerseys. The mountain jersey is made from an ultralight Italian fabric, with long sleeves for cooler rides and built-in sun protection during the summer months. We’ve put these through hell over the past few months, dialing in the fit and testing their durability. For our road jerseys, we worked with Endo to design a two-fabric design, offering more flexibility and breathability in the side paneling, for a more comfortable on and off-the-bike fit.

The Horizon road features our Rune Amulet, Pack it In Pack it Out reminder, and Jackal on the jersey pockets, while the MTB jersey uses the RADAVIST Rune text across the tail.

The Horizon jerseys were designed by color enthusiast Cari Carmean and made here in Los Angeles by Endo Customs. For sizing reference, I’m 6’2″ and 190lbs wearing the size large.

When these sell out, we’ll be taking pre-orders for an early January 2020 delivery, so act fast if you want one this year! All jerseys are in stock now at our Web Shop.

Search and State’s Field Shorts are Back in Stock

Some of my favorite shorts just got a re-up in stock. Search and State’s Field Shorts have become some of my favorite shorts for riding. They’re durable, comfortable, and best of all, have lasted for two years of heavy riding with hardly any noticeable wear. $145 isn’t a drop in the bucket by any means but when a product is resilient and still looks great after countless rides, I’d say it’s worth it. The Field Shorts are made in NYC, come in grey, black, or olive and are available now with a discount code of 20% off. Simply use “Restock20” at checkout.

Cane Creek Changes the Bottom Bracket Game with the Hellbender

Named after North America’s largest salamander that calls the streams of the Blue Ridge Mountains home, Cane Creek’s new bottom bracket, the Hellbender, looks to up the ante of bearing design. It starts out like most bottom brackets and is machined from 6061 – T6 aluminum, then it receives a two-stage anodize black and gold finish. What makes it different however is Cane Creek’s all-new Hellbender Neo bearing technology:

“The bearings incorporate Swedish manufacturer SKF’s patented MTRX technology – an oil-filled, solid polymer matrix that completely fills the free space in the bearing. During use, oil is released from micro-pores in the polymer, continuously lubricating the bearings.”

The Hellbender is available in BSA threaded, PF41, PF30, and BB30 variations and retails between $120 and $150 depending on the options. See more specifications at Cane Creek.

A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Radavist Jerseys

A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Radavist Jerseys

We’ve been working on a late summer, early fall launch since what feels like a year or so and have finally pushed the button to get these into production. We’ve got three color combinations, in both road and this active jersey, perfect for gravel, MTB, running, backpacking, or other outdoor activities. With an active SPF built into the fabric, the long sleeves protect your arms from the sun’s harmful UV rays, while keeping you cool by wicking the sweat off your body. I’ve been wearing this jersey all summer, to test out how well it performs in the 100º Southern California heat. The material itself doesn’t get as stinky as fast like other fabrics I’ve been testing and the fit is more relaxed, with a longer drop back and extended sleeve cuffs.

ENDO Customs is currently making these in downtown Los Angeles and they should be for sale in the next few weeks. There are three color options, based on the tonality and colors of the desert (pictured), the forest, and plains. Stay tuned for more information here in the next few weeks and check out more teasers below.

Bicycle Crumbs and North St Bags Hi-Vis Collection

Bicycle Crumbs entered the cycling industry as an industry outsider, an observer, a consumer. An everyday cyclist. Now he works at Speedvagen, designing their products and helping run the show there, yet he continues to possess an interesting perspective on the ins and outs of cycling culture. He recently collaborated with Portland’s North Street bags on a non-fluoro Hi-Vis bicycle portage collection, using rainbow sequins and the Bicycle Crumbs signature Radar Print. This collection is a pre-order, running from now until September 26th. You can even us a code for 10% off during this presale, simply check out with code crumbs-crew2019.
