Old Man Mountain Painted Hills Anodizing on Basket and Axle Pack

For MADE 2024 Old Man Mountain turned to its local landscape for inspiration. Central Oregon is home to the Painted Hills, a stunning geologic feature made of mineral rich soils compacted into layers upon layers of striated color. OMM took these colors and made a special series of Axle Pack and Baskets, along with Astral Outback wheelsets.

The parts are super limited to just 12 sets of Axle Pack, 12 Baskets. There are a few Baskets and Axle Packs available online, the rest are available in person at MADE 2024. Prices are the same as normal.

Also matching this kit are Astral’s Outback wheelsets, which are only available in person at MADE 2024.

Check it all out at Old Man Mountain.

Information such as pricing and availability is scarce at the moment with some online retailers pricing these at £350.00. Head on over to Sidi to see more and your local dealer for ordering.

The Rapha and Palace Collection Will Be Available This Friday

This Friday, October 9th, the Rapha and Palace collection will be available for Rapha Members. That means it might be hard for non-Members to get their hands on some of these goods but we can only hope! Here’s the word from Rapha:

“Every Palace launch is highly anticipated, and each garment they make is an extremely limited edition, produced only in very small numbers. This foray into the professional peloton will be no different. And with much of the kit going directly to EF Pro Cycling at the Giro d’Italia, availability will be especially limited.

To give our members the best possible chance of securing a piece of the switch-out kit, the Rapha Cycling Club has managed to secure a very limited run of team edition race clothing and casualwear. Members will have exclusive early access from Friday, 9th October. Stay tuned for more information.”

*The collection will be available to members who were active on or before Sunday, 4th October or have renewed a previously lapsed membership since that date.

Speedvagen’s Limited Edition Bourbon Disc OG

Speedvagen’s first Ready Made bicycle model was the OG1, a true to form classic road bike, made by hand in Portland, Oregon. These stock-sizing models offered the same details Speedvagen is known for in a stock configuration with a faster delivery time. Then came the OG Classic, a vintage-inspired all day road bike. Soon came the Disc OG and the Chris King OG.

For 2020, Speedvagen is tapping into Chris King’s Bourbon for a limited run – only 8 available – of Speedvagen Disc OG fully decked out with Chris King Bourbon. These bikes are available in three paint colors: Mustard, Oxblood, or Sage and in 4 stock sizes. They’re also being fitted with a t47 bottom bracket. A new design implementation they’ll be using from here forward. See more details on these bikes below.

Giro First Friday 50: Pink Aeon Leader Helmet

I’ve missed posting about the past few Giro First Friday products but these Pink Aeon Leader Helmets look great:

“The ultimate cycling helmet combines a lightweight feel with a skull-hugging fit and robust protective capability. It puts the wind to work for you, keeping you cool and comfortable no matter how far or fast you ride. And it practically disappears when you put it on. That helmet is the Aeon. Our premium performance helmet designed to meet the demands of the world’s most iconic roads and best riders.

A version of this stunning pink and rhodamine colorway was first seen last year at the Giro d’Italia, on the heads of race leaders including overall winner Ryder Hesjedal of Team Garmin-Sharp. It is now available to you, our fans, in a limited quantity on Facebook.

We produced 50 of these worldwide, and when they’re gone they’re gone for good. Unless you’ve got what it takes to earn one on the road… ”

Brooks B17 Select World Traveller 2012 Limited Edition Saddle

This just in from Brooks:

“Brooks England is pleased to announce the release of the Brooks B17 Select World Traveller 2012 Limited Edition Saddle. This saddle celebrates our deep historical associations with the sporting heroes of the previous London Olympiad, as well as our rich relationship with devotees of Long Distance Touring, during the inaugural WCR Grand Tour (www.worldcycleracing.com), a competitive circumnavigation of the Earth by bicycle.

The leather surface features a restyling of a piece by Frank Patterson, artist and illustrator of the Brooks catalogues of the 1920’s, realized by Richard Phipps.  All saddles have been made using Brooks Select organic leather tops, fixed to a chromed copper steel frame and finished with hand hammered copper rivets.

The B17 Select World Traveller is available at chosen Brooks Dealers Of Excellence from May, and production of the Brooks B17 Select World Traveller has been capped at 2012 pieces.”
