Cotic Bikes Solaris In Stock

Cotic Bikes just received an early shipment of its new Solaris, the UK brand’s flagship hardtail, in Gloss Ember and Gloss Forest. These two colors really pop with a gloss finish. The Solaris frames are now UDH, Sram Transmission compatible, and are built in Czechia from Reynolds 853 tubing. Optimized for a 100-130 mm fork and 29er wheels, Cotic has size C4 in stock now; other sizes are shipping in January.

Cotic Escapade UK853 is Made in the UK

The Cotic Escapade, the all-road gravel bike John reviewed last year, now comes in a UK853 model and is made in the UK.

This is the best Escapade Cotic has ever made. The bike is supple, tough, and light Reynolds 853 tubing carefully crafted into the perfect ‘life-bike.” The UK853 is handmade in the UK with a choice of a la carte’ colors, for rough roads, gravel smiles, and everything from the daily commute to your big adventures.

The Cotic FlareMAX Gen5 John Reviewed is For Sale

John here. You can buy the FlareMAX I reviewed from Cotic if you ride a C5. The price is more than reasonable for a made in the UK chassis with XT. Both Cy and myself feel it’s better that it stays in the States now, as shipping it back to the UK doesn’t make sense and is expensive.

If you’re interested, contact me at The Rad Bazaar listing and I’ll connect you to Cotic. I’ll include the Wolf Tooth B-Rad but am keeping the bottle cage! I cleaned it up real nice and it’s boxed and ready to roll.

I really really love this bike, and if money wasn’t so tight right now, I’d buy it.

A Review of the Cotic Escapade 853: British Steel with Campagnolo Ekar

A Review of the Cotic Escapade 853: British Steel with Campagnolo Ekar

These past few months have been particularly harsh here in the Southern Rockies. Santa Fe has been hammered with winter weather, leaving even the in-town XC trails in a constant freeze/thaw cycle, rendering them unrideable. We’re lucky to have a network of gravel bike trails and acequia paths that remain open throughout winter, making it a perfect time for mixed-terrain riding.

To get me through this particularly brütal winter, I’ve had a lovely companion from our friends across the pond at Cotic. They sent me their Escapade gravel bike to review and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. While my mountain bikes remain hung up on the wall, I’ve been putting in slow miles on the Cotic Escapade, pushing this bike to become my ideal all-terrain road bike for the frigid months at 7,000′. How did it stack up? Read on for more…

Cotic Updates the SolarisMAX All Mountain Hardtail

Next month, Cotic will have the new SolarisMAX in stock. While the geometry is only receiving a minor update – a 0.5deg steeper seat angle per size – the biggest update comes in its cargo capacity. More bosses have been added to the downtube, all at 64mm centers. This allows more versatile luggage and water options, as you can now carry two bottles on the down tube (as before), or a bottle with Anything Cage 3 boss mount style luggage, or just one bottle high up the tube within easy reach. You can also add a Cotic custom shaped frame bag for bikepacking.

Head to Cotic to reserve your SolarisMAX and to see more info.
