Salsa Cycles just announced its entrance into the world of eBikes with the first model in the brand’s “light electric” lineup being the Confluence gravel bike, a Class I flat or drop bar gravel bike with 250-watt hour powered by a Mahle x35+ system. Let’s check out this new lineup below…
Cues build spec above, Apex 1 build spec at the top…
With builds starting at $2499 for the Altus build spec and going up to $3499 for GRX, it’s clear Salsa is marketing the Confluence towards the entry level eGravel market. With an aluminum chassis, these bikes utilize the lightweight Mahle x35+ motor and feature a 250 watt hour batter for a top assisted speed of 20mph/32kph vis a vis a 40nm assist.
Salsa has eMTBs and an eAdventure bike on the way in March, so stay tuned.
