Safa Brian Announces the “Tour to The Tour ”

Today, Brian ‘Safa’ Wagner, cyclist and filmmaker, announced in a video on his YouTube channel that he and two of his talented friends—Alex Colorito (videographer) and Taylor Dawson (cyclist)—are departing on Saturday (July 2, 2023) for a European bike adventure. Over ten days, the crew will enjoy a route that crosses the Pyrenees and includes a total distance of 1,000 kilometers and 22,000 meters of climbing. They will depart from San Sebastian, Spain—one day after the Tour de France Grand Départ—pedal over iconic cols and mountain passes in France, through Andorra, and then descend into Barcelona to complete their route.

Crossing the Pyrenees During the Peak of the World Tour Season

Safa and Taylor will be riding SCOTT Addict RC road bikes with Tailfin carbon fiber bike racks to help them efficiently carry their gear. Alex will ride an electric road bike, a SCOTT SOLACE eRide, which will help him keep up on the climbs while pedaling with a larger share of the equipment. An overview containing more details of the crew’s bikes and gear will be released in the coming weeks.

During their bike adventure, Safa will release vlog-style video content multiple times a week. He will incorporate noteworthy sections of the 2023 Tour de France—sharing his experiences riding these scenic and challenging stages of the race and being roadside as the peloton tackles the first two mountain stages in the Pyrenees. With these timely releases of race-related content, fans can tune into Safa’s channels to see what it’s like to go on a European bike adventure with friends and be bike tourists at the oldest and most prestigious Grand Tour in pro cycling.
