“What does a modern-day, human-powered, cycling journalist look like 47 years later? Other than a MIPS enabled helmet, electric shifting, and a DaBrim, not much. However, the tools fo the trade have changed. No longer are we using printing presses and film, we are sharing Instagram stories, recording wild sounds, flying cameras in the sky and conducting field interviews on camera. This was my rig for the event, and depending on the day, I’d make a decision as to what to pack in my Swift Industries saddlebag and my Rickshaw bar bag.” – Justin Balog.
