Yep, sold out…
For those who have never seen Tracko before, I’m sorry. Tracko is no more. Now we’re stuck with Grandpasaurus Rex. I’m not so sure that’s necessarily a bad thing either. Check out a few more shots from my Recent Roll below.

You’ve gotta head over to Tracko for the full scoop on this lovely Karl Benjamin-inspired Hufnagel for Devon Tsuno.
Mr. Grandpasaurus Rex got rad on our ride up to Mt. Disappointment two weeks ago. So pitted!

I saw this in person and it was a lovely sight. HSuper! bottle, fresh flowers and good old American steel. More on that bike to come but I had to repost this from Tracko, especially with all the love he’s given me these past few weeks.
If you follow @KyleBKelley and myself on Instagram, these photos should come as no surprise. Tuesday was my last full day in LA and I wanted to do a ride I’ve never done before. But we wanted to take one of the shop helpers, Christian with us, so where would we go?
We began doing Mt. Wilson: 18 miles of climbing and 4,500′ of elevation, which is a piece of cake. Then, we left Christian to nap for an hour at Redbox and headed up Mt. Disappointment, with its rumored top pitches of over 20%. A would be easy feat for my Bishop road with its Austin-hill gearing (34×28) but I was on Ty’s Hufnagel with a granny gear of 38×25. I.e. it hurt like hell.
Even Kyle, who’s a mountain goat of sorts admitted to almost getting off his bike. 3 miles, 1,200′ later and we were at the top and on this one, the views were breathtaking.
Our day totalled around 65 miles and over 7,200′ of climbing. While Kyle doesn’t like to get hung up on distance and elevation, I like to throw it in there not to brag but to show that riding is about having fun with your friends, even while you’re all in pain!
See more Instagram pics from our ride here and 35mm are on the way.
At this point, I don’t think Kyle even posts his own photos on Tracko, because he’s got a ton of friends who are excellent photographers and are willing to submit content to him. Jesse Carmody, one half of NORU Prod, being one of them. Jesse’s shot some stellar photos of Montano Velo and Archive Bags while he’s been in SF. Check out both sets, they’re not to be missed.
Now something you might not know about Kyle is that below those Birkenstocks lies a doom-metal head, as evident here by his latest video for GSC and Moth Attack:
“I needed a travel bike but didn’t have the money for a custom frame. So Megan at Moth Attack just put S&S Couplers on my FBM Sword.”
Fucking Electric Wizard!
Tracko‘s got some great photos and an even better race recap from the Wolfpack Hustle Midnight Drag Race. Head over to check it out. I don’t think any out of towners will ever get the Dog Tags!
Kyle just posted up some photos of Kelli’s new Affinity Kissena, built up by the Golden Saddle Cyclery guys for Chubby Boob. I was in the shop when the box of Shimano parts showed up and she is beyond stoked to be racing this beaut at the track. See more photos at the Trackosaurus Rex jammy down Flickr.
Even though I’ve had a terribly shitty day, this photo puts a smile on my face. You can now own a copy of Brian Vernor’s “Underage Drinking” photo from the Tour of California. Pick a 11×14 print up now for $25 exclusively at TRACKO.
As someone who only rides bikes that were made in the States, Kyle‘s collection of steeds is quite impressive. Calfee road bike, Riv Saluki, S&M BMX, FBM Sword, Santa Cruz Stigmata cross and this Andy Gilmour track bike. When he picked this up from Anthony at Velo Cult, the allure of brakes and bottle cages took over. When all you do is climb on your track bike, hoods are the best thing you could ask for. The 44:17 gearing is ideal for the hilly rides of Los Angeles and tackling Griffith Park with ease… and the Campagnolo C-Record Pista group is just an added bonus.

One of the acquisitions we made while in LA was this Tracko x Archive Tote. Being from Phoenix, Lauren absolutely loves Native American prints and the Pendleton wool panel is the perfect accent for this limited edition tote. It matches her Tokyo Fixed porteur perfectly, doesn’t it?
Thanks to Victor and Kyle for making such rad bags. If you’d fancy one of these bags, hit up Archive Bags.
Victor from Archive Bags has been making these for Kyle from Tracko / GSC for some time now. No design is the same and they’re each constructed using high-quality cordura, with Pendleton paneling. I shot these photos for Kyle last night and they’re all available for sale at Tracko.
Last night, I told Kyle he could have some of my die-cut vinyl viking stickers. I didn’t expect him to be selling them online though. He must be hard up for money… At any rate, swoop up some silver and black Raido viking stickers at Tracko and while you’re at it, pick up some Save the Track Bike stickers, buttons and throwback Tracko jams.
Maybe you remember these? Maybe you don’t. At any rate, now’s your chance to own this classic t-shirt from Trackosaurus Rex. As per Throwback Thursday, these deadstock tees were recently pulled out of Kyle’s closet and are available here on the site. Scoop one up now in either black or heather grey for $30 shipped worldwide..
Scoop these up here, only at the PiNP Web Shop.
Fuck the rules. The only rule that matters is having fun with your friends. Sometimes you can even sacrifice safety for fun. We did a ride today up Mt. Wilson that was one of the best rides I’ve done in recent months (I say that a lot in Cali). Jeff, Ty, Kyle, Ed, Ralphy and I woke up early and trudged it out to the mountains. Along the way, we joked, stopped for photos, and rubbed Poodle Bush all over ourselves. But most importantly, we had fun.
Ty took this shot of Kyle, getting his crossie freestyle on and I don’t even need to post any other photos from Instagram. This one seals the ride.
It was 62 miles, 6,000′ and we killed two pizzas after. Good times dudes!
LA is rad. Every time I come back here, I fall in love a little more with Los Angeles county. I say county because riding in most of the city is garbage. Pure shit. But riding outside of the city is marvelous. This morning we took a nice little spin and I’m amazed at what awaits you just outside the hustle and bustle. We did 30 miles and 2,600′ all while smiling and talking shit. Check my Instagram at the bottom footer on the site for more pics.
Oh and Wednesday’s your chance to swoop up a Ramblin’ Roll if you haven’t yet. Kyle’s upping some more, so sit on his site!
Also, also, the Necronomicog packs have shipped and the USPS’ tracking system SUCKS. Just be patient, they’re all trickling in this week. If you’re lucky enough to swoop a Ramblin’ Roll, the Necronomicog patches fit great on them…
