Having just picked up a Hasselblad, I’m way stoked on this new video from Mission Workshop:

“For an afternoon, the San Francisco Bay Railroad opened it’s doors to Oakland based photographer Alex Ramos and Mission Workshop to capture the day to day operations of this local industrial railroad on film and video.

The photographs taken will be on exhibit in the San Francisco warehouse of Mission Workshop from August 17th until September 21st, 2012. Go to missionworkshop.com/event for information on the show and opening.

Since it’s FFC, I was expecting this to be a track bike video, so the BMXs were a surprise. It’s a whole different vibe when you’re not pedaling all the time, huh? Shot by Werehaus.

As a small business owner, it’s not easy to get out and ride every day. Victor owns and operates Archive Bags and as a gift to himself this year, he ordered a Raphael Cycles cross bike, strictly for off-road action in GGP. A couple weeks back, he spent the afternoon with Six, who posted up a bunch of photos on his Flickr. Checkem out! That’s a great looking bike Victor.

I really love the vibe that the Rapha Cycle Club in SF emits. Everyone from couriers, to club riders and even the PROs hang out, drink coffee and discuss the thing we all love: cycling. Check out this video City Grounds made on a recent outing to SF.

Today, Chrome announced their New Era 59-Fifty snapback caps. Each was modeled after their Chrome HUB locations: Chicago (pictured above), NY and SF (both below). You can pick these up now at Chrome. Check out the other two colorways below.

I don’t know how I missed this new cycling cap from SOMA. It features an illustration of the Sutro Tower and the signature SF rolling fog. Pick one up here and check out SF Gate for a little back-story of the famous San Francisco landmark.

While I didn’t get the chance to do a Shop Visit at Pushbike, I did manage to get some great Merckx Mondays content. Sarah has quite the collection of Eddy Merckx memorabilia at the shop, so if you haven’t been, you should really check it out. For now, see more below!

Matt Rice has been shooting video for Snow over the past few months and I gotta say, I really, really enjoyed this. It’s creative, ballsy and a lot different than a lot of the FGFS videos I watch. Snow makes damn good use of the environment and his smooth, 29’r style is fast and precise. Good job dude, I’m diggin’ it!

How rad is this? While I was at Pushbike today, Travis dropped off a whole lotta color in the form of these Freight Baggage backpacks. They’re in stock now at Pushbike, so swing through and pick one up. The conversation seemed to center around the yellow bag…

No, really. I’m back in SF yet again. This time I’ll be covering the Amgen Tour of California. I couldn’t make it to the start today, but coverage will begin tomorrow. My week will end in Los Angeles, so maybe I’ll see you there? More to come…
