Traitor Cycle’s 2013 Crusade Disc Cross
It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from Traitor Cycles but this is nice return! Introducing the Crusade disc:
“For 2013 the Crusade is going to disc only for braking options and features a new custom dropout system we designed to run gears or singlespeed. We will have two sets of dropouts available, one set with a derailler mount and one without for a cleaner singlespeed look. The nice thing about the new dropout system is that singlespeed racers can now run a rear wheel with a QR and can pop their wheel in and out without having to re-tension the wheel.
The Crusade continues to have internal full length cable routing for the rear brake for a clean look and ease of shouldering the bike. The framesets will be available mid to late summer and will retail for $599 for the frame and fork. The frame will feature a Race Butted Founderland Seamless Chromoly for the frame material.”

The Grime: G.O.A.T. Track Frame
Up in NYC, there’s something new about to hit the streets:
“True track geometry adapted for the street. The G.O.A.T. track frame is both nimble and responsive yet strong enough to be the frame of choice for NYC bike couriers and street racers alike. Greatest Of All Track.
Extremely short wheelbase keeps wheelies and maneuverability at an all time high. The geometry of the G.O.A.T. track borrows heavily from our favorite classic track frames of the late 1990s as well as our proven fgfs frames.”
These look really rad guys! See more at GRIME.

Tokyo Fixed: 2013 Trooper CX
The second bike in Tokyo Fixed’s 2013 line to be announced is the Trooper CX. Cross bikes are incredibly versatile. You can do light touring, gravel, road, dirt, singletrack and even race them in their intended arena and the Trooper looks like a worthy ride for all the above.

Tokyo Fixed: 2013 Dart Track Bike
Tokyo Fixed unveiled their new 2013 Dart track bike today:
“Most obviously, we’ve gone large. The headtube takes a 44mm zero-stack headset, and the top tube and downtube are similarly brutish. We custom sourced the tubing for this frame, no-one else is using tubes this big. This means the weight stays down, but the frame is unbelievably stiff; this complete bike is down to 7.8kg. Our team rider Jacob says it rides more like our S1 than the old Dart, the huge tubes imparting comfort as well as responsiveness.”

Merckx Mondays
Sun Graphics does a hell of a lot of resprays, oops, pardon me, I meant “restorations”… Shit. Let me start over. In Australia, if you need a place to get a classic Eddy Merckx restored to (or above and beyond) its original condition, the place to go is Sun Graphics.
Andy at FYXO works exclusively with Sun and Shifter to deliver pristine complete future Eddy Merckx classics. Above is one of my favorite Merckx liveries, team Stuttgart. This one’s heading off to Sun for a little TLC and below is a classic Eddy Merckx famed for polished Campagnolo.
I can’t wait to see how both of these turn out. Maybe they’ll be a future Merckx Mondays?

Fyxation Asks: What’s in Your Quiver?
“In early 2012 when we started to work on the Quiver our goal was to introduce a frameset that was affordable, versatile and flexible enough that with a few different parts you could build your ideal bike. Whether you need an aggressive commuter, a comfortable city bike or an affordable frameset for cyclocross season, we feel the Quiver is the frameset for you.
Relaxed road geo, plenty of room for large tires and fenders plus Fyxation’s unique combination of removable derailleur hanger and cable stops make this frame just as at home as a single speed, internal or 1×10 build. Designed with horizontal dropouts, removable derailleur hanger and removable cable stops, the Quiver can be run as an ultra clean single speed or as a 2×10 build. We also made the rear wheel spacing 132.5 to accommodate a road hub or internal gear hub. Want to run a large tire? The Quiver can take up to 700x47c. Need fenders or a rack? The Quiver comes equipped with dual eyelets in the rear dropout and fender eyelet on the fork.
The Quiver is in production now and will be in stock at Fyxation dealers in mid April.”
