Super Ted in Tokyo

Super Ted in Tokyo from John Prolly on Vimeo.

Such a weird coincidence with the last video. I was just digging through my video clips from the 2009 CMWC when I came across this video I shot of Super Ted. He came to Tokyo and forgot his lock so he was borrowing Hal’s backup; a combination lock. We’d hop inside a bar, have a few to drink and come out, only to have Ted forget the combination. Classic!

In case you haven’t picked up on this yet, Super Ted will be at the RVA Fixed / Trick Track event next weekend at the NAHBS. If you needed a reason to go (no idea why you wouldn’t be going), that’s a pretty good one.

Ted, see you next week man!

River City Trick Jam Schematics

Alex uploaded these schematics to the River City Trick Jam thread on Trick Track I’m stoked on this event and the fact that the guys are planning so far ahead will only make it better. Everyday someone confirms their attendance; so many people are coming out, it’s going to be like another MWM. Because it’s the NAHBS weekend, there will be all kinds of cyclists in town. It’s also the Death-Pedal 2 premiere, so the entire cast will be in attendance. I hear someone might be coming over from London town. Nothing’s confirmed yet, so no promises!

Check the Trick Track thread for more River City Trick Jam updates!

I Love My Bike Book Website Update

Matthew from the I Love My Bike Book project sent out an email the other day about some updates to their website. He’s begging to upload some photos from their cross-country journey already. Here’s a portrait he shot of me on Canal street a few weeks ago. Matthew and Brittain will be at the NAHBS this year in Richmond, so if you missed them on their trip, be sure to catch them there.

River City Trick Jam

RVA Fixed is throwing a trick jam during the NAHBS weekend in Richmond. Coming off the momentum of the MWM, the River City Trick Jam is already drawing a crowd. So far Eric Puckett’s coming. I’ll be there as well. Maybe we’ll see another good turnout?

Peacock Groove Jury

Mr. Erik Noren, aka “Short Shorts”, from Peacock Groove just shot me an email about his new Jury promotion. Here’s a snipped from the Peacock Groove webpage:

A run of twelve custom track bikes. 1,200 dollars each. This exclusive deal is for the first 12 people who respond. It is open for twelve only, and will only be done if there are 12 who order. These will be made custom to fit you. They will be track bikes!Track bikes only!

You’ll remember Erik’s work from the Copper-plated Peacock I posted earlier and the G’n’R disk wheel from last year’s NAHBS. I heard a rumor that he’s doing something gilded this year!

I Love My Bike Book

Matthew emailed me a few weeks ago to introduce a project he and Brittain were working on. They wanted to travel around the country, documenting cyclists with their bikes and put all of the photos in a book. Seems ambitious right? They’re based in Boston and for the next few weeks the two photographers be traveling all over the United States setting up meetings with cyclists to document their bike and why they love it. The project’s name is called the “I Love My Bike Book”. More information below.
