Remember the story about how Crihs stole my Icarus track bike after a killer party at the Messenger Mansion (more on that tomorrow) and sent me an Instagram ransom? If you don’t brush up on it here. So imagine my surprise when I just got a bunch of film back from SF and found this on one of the rolls. Amazing. Crihs, you really out did yourself here buddy.

SF #RideNStyle Weekend Randomness 04
Today was my last full day in SF and I woke up to find my bike missing from the Messenger Mansion. I checked my phone to find a randsom from #FixieNinja, leading me to Bernal Heights. Crihs had been planning this “revenge” since I desecrated his bike last year, around this time. I got my bike, put the wheels back on and headed out for the day. After the Mash 1-Year Anniversary race (event coverage coming), we rolled to the park to soak in the sun. Nothing crazy, just a bit of people watching…

SF #RideNStyle Weekend Randomness 01
Yes, it’s that time again. Randomness from the streets of SF in preparation for the 2012 Red Bull RideNStyle. Today I met up with Crihs, Marc, Em and Chas over in the Mission and rolled over to Mash to see Mike and Walton. It was unbelievably warm out and for the first time, I finally had a track bike in San Francisco. It’s been fun so far and here’s a photo dump to hold you over for a bit!

TCB in NYC
I hung out with Chas from TCB Courier / MASH / #fixiefamous a lot in NYC during the Red Hook Crit weekend. He’s one of my favorite dudes to hang with. Why? He’s always down to drink, loves to talk shit to Crihs and his riding style is very photogenic. These few photos were taken on a quick ride through Brooklyn but are damn rad.
Edit: Gallery fixed!

Brooklyn at Night
I always have the most fun just riding around at 2 in the morning in Brooklyn. I began the night ending up a photo shoot at King Kog and then headed to Kinfolk Studios for a few drinks. Then it all got fuzzy as I met up with some friends. This round was spent with Chas and Crihs, both #fixiefamous and both ready to get loose at all costs. Other culprets were Vic, Hugo, Jon Jon and the lovely staff at Bushwick Country Club. Man, I miss NYC so much and these photos are one of the reason’s why. Night moves!

The 2012 Red Hook Crit Prizes are Lookin’ Good
Hey guys, I don’t know if you’ve heard but the 2012 Red Hook Crit is coming! Like, this weekend (3/24/12) and this year, the prizes are better than ever. Ride Brooklyn built up the prize Vigorelli and Dave just posted photos of all the goodies. But remember, the best prize is beating Crihs and money can’t buy that!
See you guys there. I’ll bring the celebratory bourbon!

The 2012 Red Hook Crit Competitors
It’s that crunch week before the 2012 Red Hook Crit and the PR team has been going wild writing all these profile blurbs for the top competitors this year. Sadly, Crihs didn’t make the cut, so I added him in there for good measure. Even though he lost Monster Track to an out of towner, I think he can beat Chas at this race. But someone please beat the high-vis Italian and all the PRO roadies who show up to a track bike crit!
See the full competitors list here and I’ll see you guys there!

Congrats to JT for Winning Monster Track XIII
After a close one at last year’s Monster Track, JT has seized the win for lucky number 13. From the video I saw on Facebook, he had this shit by almost half a minute. JT, I’m very stoked on this. See you at Red Hook Crit!

The Raidô has ended and everyone’s submissions flooded Instagram. By my last count, there are over 100 photos with the #Raido hashtag. I received dozens on the PiNP FB and my email. Wanting to be as unbiased as possible, I sent 44RN the pool and had him pick two winners. Each of these guys will receive a limited edition Purple 44RN 144#47 chainring.
Check out the two winners below.

Empire x COG and PiNP: Photo Post Card Contest
Crihs and Luke from Empire wanted to do a contest with COG Magazine and myself to start the year off right. Rather than taking the easy route, as per the norm these days, the guys got creative and set up a pretty rad contest. The rules are above, so read them carefully and please, take your time with this one. It’s gonna be rad!
Check back after the deadline for an update!

Richard Sachs: Chabanov Racing
It’s nice seeing a friend push up through the rankings of a sport and really get somewhere with their talent. That’s how I feel about Chabanov. He used to be at every alleycat, talking shit to Crihs and now he’s racing under the Sachs livery. I hear he’s even got a new Facebook Fan Page or something…

Empire Begins: Production Snaps
Photos by Luke Stiles
The whole time Luke and Crihs were filming Empire in NYC, Luke had his T4 in his pocket, snapping shots with usually Ilford HP5 to create a visual log of production. With the DVD out, Luke finally got around to cataloging these snaps into a Flickr album.
Check out a slideshow below. Man, it brings back memories. I miss NYC.

Empire DVDs Have Landed
It’s kinda crazy to think that when I switched from Blogger to my own URL, the Empire trailer was the first post I made. Now, three years later, the DVDs are done. Luke and Crihs have been slowly cranking away at the production and it’s finally ready to be purchased. To give them a proper launch, they’re doing a reduced-price pre-order for a week. Both the DVDs and the posters will be going up after the pre-order. Swoop them up now right here!
Check out a bad-ass poster of Stoned Tone below!

Beautiful Bicycle: Chaz’s Cinelli Mash Histogram
Chaz, Marc and Crihs rode their track bikes from SF to Las Vegas for Interbike this year. They went over Big Sur, through the desert and spun through the night for days in a row. Once Chaz got to Interbike, Cinelli displayed his Mash Histogram for all to see. Now that’s a well used track bike!

Boda Boda NYC: Broadway Bombing 2011
Boda Boda NYC filmed the 2011 Broadway Bombing alleycat that took place on the 4th of July. Look at all those road bikes! Glad to see Crihs taking first on the track bike. Don’t miss the end for some classic NYC shit-talking. “What happened with the road bike!?”
Big ups to Crihs, Boda Boda NYC Lincoln for putting this together.

Locking Up at Night
Last night I was trying to calibrate my flash and camera and I shot this photo by accident. I say accident because I meant for the flash to fire but it turns out, the batteries were dead. Here’s Crihs (nsfw) locking up on 2nd ave.
