Aside from a new frame color, GRX and Apex build options, and a titanium chassis option, Salsa‘s tried and true drop bar 29er MTB platform, the Fargo, received a few minor updates for 2025…
The 2025 Fargo still holds onto that same DNA found in its predecessors with a compact geometry and an MTB chassis with boost-spaced wheels. Unlike the carbon cousin, the Cutthroat, the Fargo has rack mounts on the rear triangle for fully-loaded touring but the 2025 model now shares the Cutthroat’s fork. With the cable routing underneath the top tube, it’ll be covered by a frame bag and protected from mud and grime, too.
The main update is the touring platform now has flat-mount brakes on the Alternator dropouts and Cutthroat fork.
2025 Updates
- Alternator 1.0 Flat Mount plate
- Allows for flat-mount brakes on swinging Alternator 1.0 dropouts
- Cutthroat Carbon fork
- Abrasion-resistant plates
- Titanium frame available
