This coming Wednesday, June 15th, The Service Course is throwing a film premiere of its latest project, which follows its mechanic Diederik Deelen as he takes on The Traka 360, Girona’s premier gravel race. The screening takes place at Hors Categorie Girona and is free and open to the public. On display at the event will be this custom-painted OPEN bike, fitted with ENVE components and a hydro-dipped paint job, marvelously created by Sergio Vergel Escribano. We got an exclusive first look at this bike and are pleased to share it with you below!
Last year, Diederik won the Traka 200, and so The Service Course and painter Sergio Vergel Escribano worked together to create the ultimate gravel race machine, complete with paint inspired by the rugged natural beauty of the route itself. Within its swirls, many of the earth tone colors on course are represented, creating a dynamic and compelling finish.
The process is beautifully documented in the Gallery, along with many images of the finalized build. As for Diederik’s efforts at the Traka 360… well, you’ll have to watch the film to find out how he does!
