This year at Grinduro, eight frame builders presented bikes in partnership with Maxxis, Sram/Zipp, Columbus, and Hope Tech. The theme? What is your ideal Grinduro bike? This outstanding Sycip gravel bike brought classic Sycip details to a modern platform.
“Sycip man, that’s Filipino crack!” said a fan as I was shooting this bike. Jeremy Sycip’s bikes are always precision-built machines but when one pops up that uses modern technologies, you’re in for a real treat.
This bike features AXS and Hope Tech flat-mount brakes, while still utilizing Jeremy’s classic dime-topped segmented seat stays. Like all of the gravel bikes, this bike utilizes Columbus’ gravel fork and a plethora of Hope components.
After I shot this bike, it was ridden in Grinduro by Terry, the co-partner of the Pavé energy bar coffee truck with Chef Chris Cosentino.
