Eric from Winter continues with yet another stunning complete bike. This one is dubbed the Volante. Read on for his explanation of what this bike means to Eric and see more of Anthony’s photos.
“Alis Volat Propriis”- The Oregon State motto meaning “She Flies With Her Own Wings”. The “Volante” (or “Flyer“) was envisioned to echo this spirit of adventure and self reliance.
The “Volante” was designed as an event bike for a full rando season. Designed around wider 700c tires, fenders, and the ability to run disc or optional long reach brakes. The Volante is set up for internal light wiring and optional internal caliper brake routing. It features a Winter French point stem with bell mount and custom removable spacer if the rider chooses to sub in a cable hanger for center pull use. The custom Gothic point rack accents the stem and seat tube details.
