If you’re looking to get off the beaten pack of European gravel routes and explore one of Central Europe’s most beautiful National Parks, then be sure to check out the Bohemian Border Bash. It takes place on the border between German and the Czech Republic. While the Bohemian Border Bash is not a race, it will provide many challenges as you navigate through sandstone pinnacles, gorges, streams, and winding gravel roads for as far as your eye can see.
Check out the full press-release and more information below and you can register now at the Bohemian Border Bash.
As part of 3T’s broader Jeroboam World Wide Gravel Series, the Bash offers medium, long, and ultra-endurance gravel events around the globe. Bohemian Saxon Switzerland National Park
The National Park bears its name thanks to two Swiss artists Adrian Zingg and Anton Graff, who
was appointed by the Dresden Academy of Art in 1766. The two painters were so inspired by the natural beauty of the Sandstone Cliffs and Rock Pinnacles of this place that they started to call the area Saxon Switzerland, Sächsische Schweiz in German. The park is well known among climbers thanks to approximately 1000 climbing peaks (pinnacles), as well as to hikers and a growing number of cyclists like us. Its quiet gravel and car-free paved forest roads make it a prime location to ride bikes, with the modern gravel bike the perfect tool to explore the area. The region is easily accessible by both train and car, and by extension of course by bike. We look forward to you joining us in September, as like-minded gravel riders come together for an extended weekend of riding, good food and beer, and expanding our circle of friends on bikes. Come close out the summer with us. And we’ll share our favorite cache of gravel roads, hidden amongst the forests and rocks in the heart of Central Europe.
