… I’m ready to be heading home. Pardon the silence this weekend and as always, there’s more to come…

Giro: 2015 Ride LT and Ride Apparel for Men and Women
For 2015, Giro has overhauled their New Road line into two new categories: Ride LT, which is more like traditional lycra and Ride, which features more casual apparel. They’ve expanded the men’s and women’s line, bringing each a few new key pieces for spring riding. Most impressive to me is their women’s halter bib, which solves the problem of quick removal without having to remove a jersey.
Check out the full Giro Men’s Apparel line and the full Giro Women’s Apparel line online or head to your local dealer.

They’re not quite in stock yet, but I like the looks of the new Rapha Climber’s Shoes. Based off the new Prolight SLX EC90 SLXII sole and footbeds, these perforated cycling shoes shed weight and maintain stiffness where it’s needed. Coming soon (like in a few weeks) from Rapha.

Giro’s Empire VR90 MTB Shoe Blends Comfort and Style
I really love my limited edition Giro Empire MTB shoes, but like all of my current shoes, when compared to the Vibram Terraduros, I wish they had more grip for walking over slippery rocks and loose roots.
Giro’s really going for it with the Vibram soles on their forthcoming shoe line and included in the bunch are the new Empire VR90 shoes. Shown here in a limited edition blaze orange.
I’ve been putting in some trail time with these and all I can really say is so far, so good. See a few more photos and more words below.

The 2014 Interbike Super Duper Ginormous Gallery Day 01
Interbike. The necessary evil of the industry and the culmination of the year’s energy for me. 48 hours ago and we were in the Sequoias, now, we’re in the towering landscapes of Las Vegas, navigating the halls of the convention, seeing new and interesting products and longtime friends.
In an attempt to make my Interbike coverage as easy to digest as possible, I’ll be doing things a little different. Each day, I’ll upload around 80 photos, with the company’s name in the captions. If you have any questions, ask below and I’ll answer.
Keep in mind, these are products I like and do not necessarily represent everything to see at the show. If you’ve seen something elsewhere that’s worth sharing, holler at me on Twitter, Instagram (@JohnProlly) or in the comments!

Giro Has Two Hot Caletti Road Bikes Inspired by Singer Porsches
Over at Giro, when they need bikes for their tradeshow booths, they simply look to the local builders in Santa Cruz. This year, when Eric Horton, the creative director at Giro wanted a new road bike for himself, along with a booth bike, he contacted John at Caletti Cycles.
The project was simple: make a pair of Columbus tubing, hydro disc brake, all-road, Di2 bikes that would tackle the surrounding hills and fire roads, all while matching the color palette of the Giro New Road line.
As many bicycles designed throughout history, Eric looked to classic sports cars for the paint-inspiration. His car of choice: the Singer Porsche.
See more below, as Eric explains these bikes in detail…

Rapha and Giro Launch Cross Shoes
Wait a second, what’s this? That’s not a cross shoe?!
“Continuing the partnership in footwear with Giro, Rapha are launching our first cyclocross-specific shoe. Built on the EC90 carbon outsole used by Giro’s current range of MTB/Cross footwear, the upper of the shoe has been developed for the rigors of racing with a rubberized heel and toe-cap and aggressive outsole cleats for getting through the mud. Aesthetically clean and refined, the colors of Rapha Super Cross are woven into the shoe’s upper.”

Giro Announces Partnership with Multidirectional Impact Protection System – MIPS Technology
This is a game-changer for sure. MIPS’ slip plane technology is backed by science and is changing the helmet market. Giro noted this early on and began working with MIPS on new helmets for late fall 2014…
“Giro Sport Design has announced a new partnership with MIPS Technologies. After years of collaboration researching and validating new technologies to further reduce impact energy, Giro will introduce new helmets in three key categories (Road, Mountain and Urban) that employ Multidirectional Impact Protection System (MIPS) slip plane technology. The Sutton MIPS, Feature MIPS, Feather MIPS, Savant MIPS and Sonnet MIPS will be available worldwide in late fall 2014.”
