Moots 40th Headbadge Keychain $80

This keychain design is one of the early Moots keychains, designed and created by our friend Mike Cherney up in Northern California. Moots brought it back to commemorate its 40th birthday and offers it in a limited edition 40th keychain. The price stings but it’s way cheaper than a new Moots!

Knog Scout Bike Alarm & Finder $59.95

Knog knows your bike is a prized possession and leaving it unattended, even when secured, can be risky in some cities or locales. The new Scout provides unparalleled Bike security by combining both an extremely loud 85db bike alarm function with a highly accurate bike finder, using Apple’s ‘Find My’ app. It fits on any standard bottle boss – like the ones under your downtube – to tuck away behind your favorite bottle cage.

Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Specs:

  • Motion-sensitive 85 db audio alarm for immediate deterrence
  • Can be located quickly using Apple’s ‘Find My’ app
  • Operated using Knog iOS app
  • Mounts to standard water cage braze-ons
  • Can be mounted under water bottle cage for discretion
  • Use supplied anti-tamper screws to mount securely
  • Neon silicone cover provided to advertise security device (if desired)
  • Arm / disarm using button (within 5 ft) or app within bluetooth range
  • LEDs show alarm status & battery charge
  • USB-C rechargeable with up to 6 months battery life
  • Water resistant IP66 rating (washproof)
  • Weights just 0.88 oz

Andy McKenna – Evolution

As a teenager Andy McKenna was swept along by the first wave of mountain biking in the 80’s. It took over his life, relationships and career – until a life-changing diagnosis in 2007 truly opened his eyes to the healing power of the bicycle and flicked a switch on an evolution Andy could never have predicted in his lifetime.
