Our Radar Roundup compiles products and videos from the ‘net in an easy-to-digest format. Read on below for today’s findings…

BRIDGE Bike Works Surveyor Disc Road Bike

One of Canada’s only carbon fiber bicycle manufacturers, BRIDGE Bike Works, opens its manufacturing location with the launch of their handbuilt all-road bike, the Surveyor.

BRIDGE is opening a 8,200 sq. ft. carbon manufacturing facility in Toronto with the launch of our first bike, the Surveyor. Co-founded by Frank Gairdner and Michael Yakubowicz, BRIDGE has been almost three years in the making and is now opening its manufacturing facility and launching its first bike. The Surveyor is a handbuilt carbon disc road bike, perfect for road and gravel riding.

While BRIDGE is not 100% operational, here’s the latest from the brand:

Surveyor engineering is complete:

BRIDGE is wrapping up engineering and now into pre-production prototyping on our path towards shipping bikes later this summer. For more about the bike itself click here.

Factory is at 95% completion:

Frame jigs are in, freezers are full of carbon, presses are pressing, their in-house paint and finishing booths are operational.

Inventory is real:

All components listed online are in stock or have confirmed delivery times, which means if you can click buy on the BRIDGE website, you will get your bike delivered before the end of 2022.

Pricing is finalized:

Frameset MAP of $5,000 CAD or $4,000 USD with axles, headset, seat collar and front derailleur clamp. Complete bike builds starting around $8,000 CAD or $6,250 USD.

Melburn Roobaix Returns!

The Melburn Roobaix is a fun ride in Melbourne, Australia and it’s coming up in 18 days! If you’d like to see what the event is like, John visited Melbourne in 2014 and documented the weekend’s events. Tickets are live for $90 a pop right now at FYXO.

Tern Short Haul Cargo Bike $1,099

Studies have shown that most people drive short trips around town. Less than 3 miles to be exact. If we can get people out of their cars and onto cargo bikes, we could make a real difference. The Short Haul by Tern is a compact cargo bike that makes it easy to get around town and get things done. Practical and uncomplicated, the Short Haul has everything the modern urban rider needs—and nothing that they don’t.

These bikes are an affordable cargo solution and will be arriving at Tern dealers in Q4. See more at Tern.

Ride Concepts Tallac Clip $180

Inspired by 90s sneaker culture, the Ride Concepts Tallac Clip looks like a Nike ACG boots had a love child with modern clipless MTB shoes and we dig it. The Tallac Clip uses traditional lacing for a tailored fit and a hook and loop strap for added retention. The Cordura® upper is breathable and lightweight, but also trail-tough and protective with a stitch-free and fully welded construction. What this means is yes, these shoes look good, but they’re designed to be tough. See more at Ride Concepts.
