Product Review: Mission Workshop Sanction Backpack

IMG_5860.jpg

The day before we left for Hawaii, I received my Mission Workshop Sanction backpack in the mail. From a long line of Mission Workshop products, the Sanction is best described as a mini-day bag. Its compact and light design stands as a stark contrast to the cargo backpacks, the Vandal and the Rambler. Big enough to hold all your daily needs but small enough to disappear when almost empty, the Sanction is the ideal addition to the Mission Workshop line.

The Sanction, like all of Mission Workshop’s bags is made in the USA from waterproof fabrics and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

One of my biggest complaints with the Vandal and the Rambler was the lack of exterior pockets. The Sanction has two zippered and one velcro pocket on the exterior. Under the main flap is a zippered compartment for a large laptop and a sleeved, open pocket for other items.

The zippered pockets are perfect for things you’d carry on your person normally.

And the velcro pocket is great for items you need access to quickly.

The Sanction is a perfect day bag. I’ve been using it here in Hawaii daily to carry my cameras, towel, food, water and other backpacking items.

Even when it’s half empty, it sits flat on your back and is hardly noticeable. Pick one up, in four colors at Mission Workshop!
