Chumba USA and Astral Cycling have teamed up and kitted-out a one-of-a-kind USA-built gravel adventure bike to raise funds for Bikepacking Roots’ (BPR) BIPOC Bike Adventure Grant! The Terlingua Steel frame will include Astral Outback Wheels and components from other Bikepacking Roots Sponsors White Industries, Shimano, Old Man Mountain and Paul Components. The BIPOC Bike Adventure Grant Program changes lives and builds community by increasing access and promoting inclusion in bikepacking and adventure cycling. Who among us hasn’t had their lives changed, grown, been empowered and healed through the power of self-propelled adventure on two wheels? This program seeks to extend that experience into those communities that have historically lacked access to the heart-filling magic of exploring the world on two wheels. The BPR’s grant program raises funds and then disperses grants to BIPOC Community Leaders committed to hosting trips, developing gear libraries, building community and spreading the love through bikepacking in their regions.

This bike was displayed at Astral Cycling’s booth at the MADE Bike Show in Portland, Oregon from August 23-25th and will also be featured in Chumba’s booth at The Masterbuilder Bike Show in Bentonville Arkansas on September 13th-14th, but you do not need to be present to win.
