“Like I said in my last post the roadies took this VERY seriously, like their lives depended on it. They were all on rollers before racing and just generally uptight. Kieran and Ed, the two local fixed gear boys racing did really well, I can’t help but think that if they had taken it as seriously as the sportsmen then they would have dropped the roadies like a sack of spuds. Superted’s lockring slipped out of the gate and Tom La Marche was rocking tyres so wide that I’m surprised he got up the hill at all, amazingly he won his first race. Anyway, watch…”
