We already saw the New Craft: 5 Continents 5 Frames show announcement last week, and now to promote this Wednesday’s (June 29th) event, Columbus just sent over a preview with photos of these unique frames. See the press release and full gallery below!
“In order to emphasize the relevance of such a global cultural movement, #Confartigianato and #Columbus have asked to 5 framebuilders, one for each continent, to realize a frame that embodied their vision of cycling.
The artisans that answered this call have been:
– Richard Sachs (USA)
– Caren Hartley (UK)
– Cherubim (Japan)
– Baum Cycles (Australia)
– Mercer Bikes (South Africa)
Today, these masterpieces have arrived in Italy and will be exposed #NewCraft, exhibition part of XXI Triennale Internazionale del Design program, devoted to display the wonderful encounter between artisans’ know-how and new technologies.
In order to properly celebrate this works, we asked to two Italian maestros, Dario Pegoretti and Doriano De Rosa, to enrich their presentation by joining us storytelling their experience of bicycle-artisans.
On June 29th at 6 p.m. @ La Fabbrica del Vapore, via Procaccini 4 Milano, we will showcase these wonderful creations!”
