For today’s Readers’ Rides, we’re dipping into some cycling ephemera. Swobo’s bike frames weren’t around long but they’ve generated quite the cult-like following. Evan converted his Folsom frame into a basket bike and we know how much y’all like basket bikes so let’s jump right in!

All Hail the Black Market for Swobo: Hobo Pack
Stevil’s a really great guy and his work with All Hail the Black Market over the years always provides entertainment. His newest collaboration with longtime brand ally Swobo looks great, which is probably why it sold out so quickly.
The Hobo Pack is a no-nonsense hydration pack for cycling and by hydration, I mean a vessel for transporting beer to races, or to drink on a ride. Of course it has fittings for a hydration bladder too, as well as a helmet net and rain fly. Functionality can’t be forgotten with a pack!
Even though these are sold out, more are on the way, head over to Swobo to sign up for an email notification.

Movers and Makers: Stevil Kinevil
I’m really into this Movers and Makers project!
“We here at Swobo and Bicycle Times are proud to announce the arrival of our latest Movers and Makers video, featuring none other than the illustrious Stevil Kinevil of All Hail the Black Market.
Stevil is an industry veteran having worked as a wrench, messenger, bike assembler, blogger, and everything in between. He’s put out zines, is an avid 7″ record collector, and a talented painter to boot.
We’ve been fascinated with his artistic output for years and he’s someone that truly inspires us to close the laptop and actually make something every now and again. Accordingly, we chose him to be part of our Volume 2 project. “

Swobo Introduces the Divine for 2013
With Swobo under new ownership, they’ve taken their single speed and fixed gear line back towards the States. The Divine is their new city fixed gear, made in the USA and shown here, as a PAUL Component build for around $1,800 dollars. They’ll also be offering up a Taiwanese parts build for around $1,200 but who can Resist some PAUL parts? Expect these to hit your LBS’ shelves in 2013. I dig it. Replace that stem, bar and saddle and that’s a nice looking build.
