A Look at the 2014 Giro New Road Mens and Womens Collection

After the first year of Giro’s New Road line, a call was heard from the masses. Women wanted in on the line. Giro wanted it to be good though and rather than simply altering the current men’s lineup to fit women, they hired a female clothing designer and started from scratch.

For the 2014 Women’s New Road photoshoot, Giro picked a group of women ranging from a US National CX Champ, to a leader in advocacy and other figures in the industry. Their intent was to show a range of body types, personalities and styles to convey authenticity to women, and fits many styles. A female photographer, Michael Crook also shot the entire lookbook.

For the 2014 men’s line, not much changed as the classic pieces were established in the first season. However, the outerwear got a few new pieces including a wind vest and jacket, along with more layering options for brisk morning rides. All men’s photos were taken by Chris Milliman.

The 2014 Giro New Road line contains both casual and performance-minded pieces, for men and women, along with their California Collection: garments made by hand in California.

Eric Richter from Giro sent over a collection of photos from the lookbook, showcasing the men’s and women’s line, along with a few casual city riding shots. Check out more below and see the entire Giro New Road Men’s and Women’s line at your local bike shop or online.

Dosnoventa: New Kits and Dubai Video

Black and gold is one ballsy color combination for a kit. For some reason, I can’t help but think of a sci-fi warrior when I see it but maybe that’s what Dosnoventa was going for? Whatever the rational is, I think it looks killer. Check out the new kit from Dosnoventa at their web shop and see their latest video below.

Geekhouse Bikes: Cyclocross Kit Pre-Order

Ok. I just want this photo to be on the front page of the site forever. Geekhouse’s ‘cross kits were a huge hit this year so they decided to put up a pre-order for those who are interested in adding a few pieces to their cycling wardrobe. They look damn good. Adria really did a great job!

Unfortunately, no one will look as rad as Cait but you can still pre-order at Geekhouse.

Team Dream and PiNP Kit Pre-Order

That’s a whole lotta’ photos!

Sean from Team Dream Bicycling Team and I have been scheming on this kit for some time now. Sure, it’s easy to take stripes and add some purple but how would it perform? Would the stripes make you faster? Would they throw-off your enemy’s range-tracking mechanisms? What about deer and bobcats? Would it scare them off the trails? The truth is, yes, the Team Dream and PiNP kit does all this and more. Oh and I gotta admit, they look fucking rad.

We went all out and produced one of the most comprehensive PiNP kits to date. I fucking love it! Sean loves it too, which prompted him to include a mystery “Surprise” PiNP long sleeve color option to the mix!

Team Dream Bicycling Team: Compression Bibs in Stock

Before 2013 comes to an end, Team Dream has restocked on a few pieces at their webshop, most notably, the Compression Bibs. These, for what it’s worth, are my favorite bibs I own. They’re a little tight the first time you wear them, but then they stretch out and fit like a glove. A glove around your junk.

Team Dream has XS, Medium and Large left in stock. So go swoop!

There is also a stock of Wind Vests, Home and Away jerseys too!

Last Chance to Pre-Order the New Tracko Kit

I took a step back over to my laptop for the first time since Wednesday to post this. Why? Because it rules and running pre-orders like this allows everyone to get a chance to pick up something that might sell out before you get the chance to scoop. Kyle’s a great friend and he’s been a huge inspiration to me, as well as a lot of you (I’d assume). Support Tracko by ordering this kit for the holidays!

… and two rad kits!

Ty was up in Portland to race a Cross Crusades and hang out (that dude lives the dream) with the lovely couple behind the Athletic. Speaking of the Athletic, you’ve gotta pop over to see more photos from the event and of that killer kit. Seriously, sign me up for one!

Cadence: Decade Kit Now in Stock

It’s crazy to think that a brand like Cadence has only been around for 10 years. Ok, maybe “crazy” isn’t the right word, but for me, Cadence represents a brand that grew out of a truly grassroots scene and what started as essentially a silkscreen shirt company has grown a major name in this whole thing we call cycling.

I remember first seeing Cadence shirts when I moved to New York and now, years later, Cadence is celebrating a decade of radness with a new kit.

Check out the Cadence Decade Kit in stock now!

Ornot: Cycling Gear Made in California

Ornot is a small, new label based in San Francisco. Founded by the belief that you shouldn’t have to spend a lot of money, only to look like a rolling billboard. All of their garments are made in California and are minimally-branded.

Check out the full Ornot line here. I will say one thing: kudos to them for developing a women’s line at the same time as a men’s line and making them the same design!

Also, damn, I miss riding in California already!
