I finally got around to taking some decent photos of this bike, though it’s a few years old now. Figured I may as well share!
The frame and fork built by Tim To at Granville Bicycles, paint by Toxik Design Lab, both in Vancouver BC (before Tim moved away). It was super important for me to go with a local builder, and the frameset was a gift to myself for finishing grad school. Frame is a mix of tube sets, but the downtube is some neat bi-oval/triangle shape of mystery origin – tough to capture in photos. Tim was an absolute saint, putting up with all my hemming and hawing, talking me into smart choices and off of several ledges.
-Mixed campy 10-speed drivetrain (mostly Record and Chorus, but SRAM cassette/Ultegra chain, and yes it shifts plenty fine).
-Ritchey Classic bar and stem, Brooks microfiber tape (and a Spurcycle bell, ding ding).
-Pink King headset to match the paint.
-Record titanium seatpost, Specialized Power saddle.
-46/30 Rotor 3D+ crankset (12-28 cassette), XT pedals. My knees appreciate the extra low end.
-Bontrager RXL wheelset that I’ve just never got around to replacing with anything more interesting – light and works well.
-Challenge Strada Bianchi 30mm tires (about as large as will fit).
-Silca saddle roll (gotta say I do love the Boa closure), and I just added the Farsik barbag (shop local!)
-Internal rear brake routing.
-Mixed fillet/lugged construction.
-Chain hanger to keep things clean.
-Classic external shift cable routing.
Fits like a glove, rides like a dream
