The Updated SimWorks By Panaracer – “Super Yummy” Tire $76

The Super Yummy tire, which was conceived for super-cyclists and velocipedal vagabonds around the globe who practice “Bug Out,” is back and approximately 14% lighter across the range!

Three years after its debut, Super Yummy has been resoundingly well received by bicycle enthusiasts around the world. In a constant quest to improve upon our products, we’re always open to feedback, and the most common critique we received was for the weight to come down a bit, with the understanding that there would be a potential compromise in durability with the benefit of a more supple and efficient tire. We asked Panaracer to proceed with the research. Fast forward and we’re thrilled with the end result.

The pressing task is to determine the volume of the sidewall that was necessary and sufficient for good puncture resistance. We aimed to be cautious but bold, while realizing a lighter more supple tire. Some rubber was removed from the sidewall and replaced with a puncture-resistant layer. Together with the Panaracer technical team, we succeeded in striking an outstanding balance in the overall lightness and flexibility of the tire while sacrificing little in strength and durability.

Logos Components Wheels $999

Logos Components is a new company, born from Thesis bike, that offers three wheels, proprietary hubs, at an affordable pricepoint. These wheels utilize exposed brass nipples for easy maintenance, centerlock disc, and bladed straight-pull spokes. The Atara 650 is a 650b wheelset weighing 1,325g, Epoché 700 is a 700c gravel wheelset weighing 1,365g, and the eudae 29 is a trail-built 29er wheelset weighing in at 1565g.

The Arché|os hubset utilizes the archetypal and now open standard dual-sprung floating star ratchet system patented by Hügi in the 90s and later popularized by DT Swiss in creating “the world’s most reliable hubs”.
