Hailey Moore
Hailing from North Carolina, Hailey has called Boulder, Colorado, home since 2016. Commuting served as her gateway to cycling, though she quickly got the bike-touring bug after moving to Colorado and has since enjoyed getting to know more of the Mountain West from the saddle. When it comes to writing, Hailey has been called “a culture person.” She would describe herself as an enthusiastic generalist who sometimes wishes she could be more of a specialist—and that tension describes her preference for riding and bikes in a nutshell, too. Fortunately, it seems most of the gravel and off-road adventure side of the sport is currently facing the same conundrum, giving her ample genre-straddling bikes to test ride and write about. In addition to a focus on touring and bikepacking, Hailey’s Reportage often drills down on human and place-focused stories that belie her background in psychology and appreciation for a well-told narrative. She’s just as interested in following the Tour de France as the Tour Divide and, these days, is convinced that a hardtail will take her wherever she wants to go.
