Fender company Ass Savers is partnering with Rapha to bring Trackside ‘85 Photography Exhibit to Rapha Cycle Club Manchester as the exhibition’s final 2014 destination:
“Gothenburg, Sweden, 7 November, 2014 – After successful stops in Berlin, Barcelona and London, the Trackside ’85 photo exhibition presented by Ass Savers travels to the Rapha Manchester Cycle Club on November 18th for its final stop of the tour. Staffan Jofjell’s brilliantly captured photographs from the 1985 Berlin Six Day track race will be on display from November 18th to 23rd to coincide with the Six Days of Ghent…”
“In addition to hosting the final destination of the exhibit, Rapha Cycle Club Manchester will be organizing events and screening race coverage during opening weekend of Six Days of Ghent.
Originating in Britain in the 19th century, six-day track racing is an event unlike any other. Riders relentlessly grind out lap after lap, covering nearly 100 kilometers a night for six consecutive nights. Spectators join in the madness, convening in the center of the velodrome for six nights of wild celebration and beer.
“After all the enthusiasm and success we’ve had with Trackside ’85 this year it made perfect sense to work with Rapha to bring the exhibition to their new Cycle Club in Manchester. It’s a great venue and the folks at Rapha share our passion for bringing more than just great cycling products to the community,” said Ass Savers’ Jungho Kim.”
